First of all, forget about using the built-in memory...it's very small. Does your camera work properly when a memory card is inserted? You could also go into the setup menu to "reset". That would set your camera back to factory defaults.

How do I take panoramic photos on a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3, have done it before, but forgotten how to set it up.

Enter "setup" mode, and switch from "picture" or "video" to "panoramic". Take a picture, move the camera, and take another picture. Follow the on-screen instructions when you have finished taking the segments.

Press the MENU/SELECT button then select the wrench icon. You should then see the talking-head icon (you may have to scroll down a page or two to get there).

Free software download dmc

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

My camera lens won't go back in and is making weird noises.

Since you said it makes noise when you turn it on, the gear system controlling the lens might be faulty. have it checked.

Screen brightness on panasonic lumix dmc-fs3

There is a strong likelihood it has received a knock and the screen back light is broken. Easiest solution i can suggest is to pop it on ebay and buy another. It would be worth trying to find your way through the menu and making sure screen brightness isnt off or on auto.
