The issue is that your modem and router(s) have an IP conflict. Contact either your router support, or Internet Service provider. They should be able to help you without a hitch!

Its quite possible that your modem is overheating. This would lead it to reach its emergency shutoff temperature. My recommendations would be to temporarily try it in a cooler place in the house with maximum ventilation possible, for instance in your basement (if you have one) or possibly on a freezer or next to an air conditioning unit. A few possible long term fixes include:

• Mount a passive or active heatsink onto the CPU of the modem.
  
• Cut (many small or some large) holes into the housing of the modem to improve the airflow.
• Mount a fan on the top of the modem that sucks the hot air out the the housing.

Try resetting the router, there should be a reset button underneath or at the back, keep it held in for at least 30 secs then try again.

Usually its just an extra Ethernet cable they give you in case you don't have one.

Check on the router itself. Some ISPs have a pre-determined WPA password encoded into the router when delivered to the customer. It may be on a label affixed to the unit. Otherwise, you may have to log into the router itself (if your ISP allows this) and change the password to something you can then use for all your devices.

Thunderstorms can ruin modems, routers, switches etc. Check for a reset button on the back or bottom of each. You need a paper clip to press the button down.

No real need to run full power, why give your neighbors access to get in if possible.

try using a phone to get onto your settings for your modem and check connectivity, which i suspect is fine, the problem is probably with your WIFI card, so try using a LAN cable to connect to your modem directly using port 4.
