Bunn CWTF 15-TS Coffee Maker - Page 9 Questions & Answers
How do I test the heating element in my Bunn BTX-B coffee maker
Take off spray head and the nut under it. Lift the fill water lid. Remove screws. Lift the top off. Remove the nut where the water runs into the tank. Now lift the tray out. Now you can disconnect one end of the heating element and test it. It is probably good. There are 2 thermal fuses connected (under the white sleeves) that usually open. They carry them at Radio Shack and other electronics stores. There is a temperature marked on the side in Celsius. They should read like a normal fuse (continuity if good). I have replaced several of these and have not had a bad element yet. Good luck
Leaking underneath. Is there a way to repair?
First you have to make clear what is causing the leak. A gasket? A burst in a pipe? Burst in the heater? When you know what, you can see (a tech can) if it is repairable and what it will cost.

Remove the top panel and locate the level probe in the top of the boiler. Remove the probe and clean off any lime scale. This should stop the overfilling.
