Fill water tank until water comes out from sprayhead, THEN plug it in it should be OK.

IF the machine keeps blowing steam/keeps boiling the water, The thermostat is defective and must be replaced.

NOTE: If you don't use the machine for a couple days, UNPLUG IT. The water will evaporate if you don't unplug it.

How do I adjust the amount of water that is coming

There is NOT an adjustment for the pour over coffee brewers.
I think you have calcium build up. Remove the spray head and use the spring to clear the water tube (from tank to spray head) if you are handy, remove the top cover and use the spring to clear the hole were the water goes down to the tank from the reservoir.

If there is a lot of calcium build up you need to descale the brewer with vinegar.
Pour 64oz. of water only, When brewing coffee.

Spring is provided from BUNN when you bought the brewer, if not you can order one.

NOTE: Make sure you unplug the brewer before removing the top cover.

On a Bunn VPR why is the water boiling out the top

This brewer has a dial type thermostat inside the top lid. I believe a small counter-clockwise turn (about 1/16 turn) should lower the maximum heating of the brewer. If the brewer is old you may need to replace the thermostat AND the High Limit thermostat... the small "button type" device on the top of the tank with wire to and from the heating element.

What can i do if water does not come out.?

Run white vinegar through the coffee maker, it may take a few times and some soaking to get it to work. The unit is probably clogged with hard water deposits.

How do we replace water

You have to pull the top portion of the tank with the element still attached, look for the ring of bolts on the outer edge, careful not to damage the tank lid gasket when you lift it out.
