As i understand you has lost your serial number and are trying to install Adobe on a new PC.

Have you ever registered your product online? Do you still have the original receipt? If so, call Adobe Customer Support and they would help you.
Next you could call your distributor from whom you bought the package(frys) and ask him for the receipt number or the serial number if he has the copy.
This statement is taken from Adobe site
"If you cannot find your serial number and it is not in our registration database, Adobe can reissue your serial number in certain cases. This applies only to current shipping versions of Adobe branded or Macromedia branded products, and one version prior to the current version. Some people are typing in the 20-digit serial number that's visible in the CS2 About box. That makes total sense, except that the serial number is actually 24 digits long! That is, you need to get your serial number from your product materials

reload the software again.and delete all the unwanted files from the operating system.increase the memory(RAM)

So after editing the file you go to save, but it is grayed out?

are you in quick mask mode, or have something in transform, or selected?

You have to go to adobe.com and register the software and see what your options are to obtain a serial number. No serial numbers are provided on fixya.com due to piracy reasons and software do monitor this site from time to time for any illegal activities.

As i understand you are facing problems in sending pics to your friend who has a hotmail account.

Since you are using Adobe version 3.0 starter edition. First, hope it's a registered copy. If it is then you will have to upgrade the Adobe version to 3.2 since its a bug in 3.0 which is fixed in version 3.2 and you will be able to send mails to any Live Hotmail accounts..

make a new layer. set ur desired foreground color and press ALT+BACKSPACE.

if ur background color has a contrast from bottle color, first select COLOR RANGE command and click on hte bottle of wie and select ok.

2)If u want to refine ur selection further, then SHIFT CLICK on the areas u want to select and ALT CLICK on the areas u don't want to select. using color range command.

3)u can also select it through magic wand and quick selection tools.

1. Verify that you have sufficient disk space for saving these files (They can be rather large, so make sure you have several MB free.
Usually you would get a better error, but it's worth checking.
Also be sure that you are saving to a location you have write access to - try the Desktop to be sure.

2. Has this app ever worked for you?
Were you the user who installed it?
If yes, have you upgraded your OS or changed location of the program since it last ran successfully?
If you were not the primary user who installed it, or if you upgraded OS software since first installing and runing this app, our best bet may be to uninstall then reinstall Photoshop Elements, to be sure it has full access to all necessary components.
