Don't hear audio in multitrack
One of these must be the case:
- You've not enabled monitoring in multitrack view.
- The hardware setup is not correct under multitrack view.
- You may have to (I forget if this was the case for sure or not) send each signal you're listening to to the Master... I'll have to look at home..
If that doesn't work, offer these clarifications, and I may can check into at home:
- What version of Windows or other OS?
- What version of Audition?
- What sound hardware do you have installed (more than one? - please provide specific card(s)/device(s))
Clips out of time after recording.
It's got to be either latency or something causing the movement. I doubt you'r making the same mistake with your mouse every time, so my guess is a program on your machine if it isn't the latency thing.
Here are some questiosn for you:
- How old is your Windows install?
- What sort of security apps do you have running?
- Are you 100% sure your system is clean of any possible malware? There are several apps to try to make sure - don't depend on one application for security, too risky.
- If you disconnect from the internet during recording, do you get the same issue(s)?
While recording through firewire solo cannot hear input but hear
- What version of Audition?
- What version of Windows - or other OS?
- Edit View and/or Multi-Track view issue?
- Are you recording in Multitrack view, then listening in Edit view? Each has its own hardware setup..
My best guess is that one of these thigns are true:
- You have not enabled monitoring
- In multitrack view, I believe you have to send each signal to the master, and then enable monitoring for the Master... but I can't remember for sure.

Echo problem in adobe audition 1.5 (not environmental)
My best guess to start with is a reverb setting of some sort.
Are you recording in multitrack or edit view? If one, try the other, and see if you get the same results.
Another guess would be a sound-card setting. If you have any special effects setup on your soundcard (onboard, pci, pci-express, usb, etc), that could cause it. Things such as 3d-surround settings, environmental settings, etc..
Also, what version of Windows? What sound card/ audio interface?
I am not a seasoned
If you're wanting to use the Yamaha ASIO driver direct via USB, first make sure you have the driver installed. Second, you have to enable the ASIO driver in the audio devices setup portion - or you can just go to your Windows Audio settings, and change the recording hardware to the Yamaha one.
Then you'll be able to record to 1 Stereo or 2 Mono channels off of the Yamaha ASIO driver.
It's more tricky doing it that way than just feeding the line-outs into your onboard or PCI/PCI-eX sound cards.
Poast back if you have more questions. I'm at work now, but I can look at the specifics when I get home if you need further assistance.
If you need further help, be sure to post this info:
1. What version of Audition
2. What version of Windows
3. What type of soundcard do you have (if you want to do anything through that route).

Help Anyone??
Hi there Grusm,
It seems from what you have wriiten, your recording setttings have gone back to playing mode on your computer. Try the followings see if it sorts the problems you are having:-
- Click Twice or so on the speaker on the right hand side of START manu at the bottom right hand. A speaker volume control panel will open up displaying volume control, wave,sw synth, phone line,Aux volume, video volume, mic volume, line In and audio in.
- Make sure on the bottom of this panel volume is not ticked muted. if it is untick it.
- On the top Manu you Options and Help. Click on Options
- Select properties and Click on it, when it opens up change the setting from Playback to Recording by clicking in the round ring in front of the Recording sign. once you done that you can select the controls on the volume control panel to your requirement. Keep this volume panel minimise it while you are recording the sound, so if it needs altering you have it there infront of you at the bottom on the start manu. I hope this helped.

Serial code: 1325-1413-3017-0892-3878-8629
You should never post such codes on an open forum, others may use it against your wishes.
If you call Adobe, they will straighten out the issue for you if your codes are legitimately paid for.
