You cannot buy nero9 trial, as it is free, and being a trial will last only few weeks before asking licence number.

If you buy nero online, the regular version, not the trial, the licence number will be sent to you in an email, check the email , including your spammed mail folder, and get the number.

Look at the device name in device manager - the letters DL should appear. If not look in BIOS or ont he back or front of the drive. Nearly all drives, around 2 years old and onwards are dual layer. HOWEVER do not be surprised if you cannot write to dual layer discs. DL is a black art and is very difficult and is still not developed properly.

DVD discs come in two capacity sizes.
Single layer DVD have a capacity of 4.7 Gb
Dual layer DVD have a capacity of 8.5 Gb
Some DVD burners are single layer burners only and cannot burn dual layer discs.
The error message you are getting would indicate that the disc you are using is not large enough to copy all your program material.

Not all burned DVDs are compatible with all home DVD players.

Some things to do to help compatibility:

1. Use only DVD+Rs.
2. Burn at a slower speed (4x or below).
3. Make sure the software you are using to burn the DVD creates a menu. Most DVD players won't be able to play a DVD unless there is a menu; usually you can tell the software to skip the menu if you want but it still must be encoded onto the DVD.

Nero 6 and 7 does not provides us the facilitiy of burning the DVD in appropriate DVD Format. Instead it burns the DVD in the normal DATA Format, which is not supportable by our DVD Player. To play the DVD in our DVD Player we should burn the DVD in the appropriate DVD Burner which itself converts the extension of the movie and make it proper for a DVD Player to read it. It also adds some files to the DVD which is sometimes used by the dvd player in running the DVD.

may be your version of nero is corrupt ao maybe your cd is scarped or dirty....

Hi,

You should uninstall Nero, download nCleaner and install and run it.
Now click Clean System and Clean Registry. Don't change the default settings, just tick yes each time.
Now exit.
Now reinstall Nero or download ImgBurn and use that instead.
If it still doesn't burn disks, you need to either Repair your system with a system disk, or delete the lower and upper filters for the disk drive, in your Registry.

Try deleting UPPER FILTERS and LOWER FILTERS

> Click the Start button, click Run.
In the Open box, type Regedit, and then click OK.

> Click the plus sign (+) next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.

NOTE: When you click the plus sign (+) next to a folder, it will expand displaying the folders it contains in the left-hand pane of the Registry Editor. When a folder is highlighted, its contents will be displayed in the right-hand pane of the Registry Editor.

Click the plus sign (+) next to SYSTEM.
Click the plus sign (+) next to CurrentControlSet.
Click the plus sign (+) next to Control.
Click the plus sign (+) next to Class.
Click {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}.
On the right hand side of the window, click UpperFilters.
Click Edit on the menu bar.
Click Delete, and then click OK.
On the right-hand side of the window, click LowerFilters.
Click Edit on the menu bar.
Click Delete, and then click OK.
Click File, and then click Exit.
Restart the computer normally.

Note: sometimes it does not have both the Upper and Lower filter. if you only have one of them then just delete it.

Hi there,

There are 2 ways of burning a CD.

1) From Windows operating system
2) From a CD burning software like Nero

Solution

If you are using Windows to write a CD follow the proceedure:

1, Select all files you want to write on cd
2, Right click on files and click on send/copy them to writable CD
3, now brows CD from my computer
4, click on menu>write files on ZCD
that's it

If you are using Nero
1, Start nero express
2, Select Data CD from menu
3, Now on the opened pane click on "Add"
4, After adding the selected files click on "Burn"

That's it

Download the nero clean tool from here...

Then re-install the Nero demo again, you have to do this otherwise the clean tool will not work correctly.

Then run the clean tool, this will clear all of the entries installed by Nero.

Good day, what you need to do is remove the CD. clean the surface or use a lens cleaner. what is happening is an error from your CD. It is a read-error. with this you should be able to install it perfrectly. if the problem persist get another cd or copy the file inot your C:/ drive and run it from there. Good luck
