If this is a stand alone analog(not connected to phone system) telephone, check for batteries. If the phone is connected to a phone system, the phone must be set to ring to receive caller ID. If neither suggestion helps, please send model number of phone and model number of phone system if there is one.

If you have a M7208, you will need to identify the phone/DN and cancel the message from there.

Haha they are old! Enter programming by dialing Feature **266344, then using 266344 as your password. Your password may be different depending on your phone company. Contact them for more details. Scroll using navigation keys to "General Admin". Scroll to Time and Date, then select time. You can go through individually and fix the hour and minute. When you are done, press Rls

You can unplug the phone cord at the back of the unit or at the jack. There could be a trouble on the actual telco line. A loop x condition mimics line in use.

Did you try going to the voicemail to get the message? I seem to recall it was 981 from your own phone. If it is passworded then you need an admin with knowledge The no ring is also an ADMIN thing down in the lines and stations sections.

You will need to replace the phone most likely.

A couple of thoughts. What happens when you ask about line 2 (as in Feature *0 and press line 1 then line 2 etc to see what it says). If line 2 is really there, and you can PICK UP but not see it ring, it could be programmed as Appear Only in system programming. If L2 doesn't appear at all, although it's highly unlikely, it could be that your phone is only told to have ONE line. Again that's a system program.

The admin instructions should have all of the access codes and it's just a stepping process to program terminals and sets.

You need to take the phone system box with you. Also if you have voicemail, that box needs to move with you. Depending on how simple or complex your phone system is, there could be several other devices that need to move with you. There could be a fax switch, analog adapter, power supply for front desk cap(central answer position) button module, paging equipment, music on hold, and/or message on hold unit to name some of the more common auxilliary equipment. My advice is to have someone with knowlegde of phone systems to look at where the phone system equipment is before disconnecting and moving. If you have ip based phones, there may be a way to run them from a computer,but it would take some specialized software.

Good question but no 'make model (what it is). Base units have an antenna, make sure it is extended. Make sure the batteries in the satellite hand sets are good as they send out the signal to the base unit to be 'in range'. Not sure about the PIN request, refer to the manual. They are all online.
