If AutoCAD was starting until recent times, and suddenly stopped working, that means that there is either a corrupted registry or system value, or that one of the Autocad files is damaged.
Below the solution for Mac and Windows.
If you have Windows:
The first fix that you can try is doing a system restore to a date
before the problem occurred. System restore will bring all settings and
registry values back to the chosen date, so that if the problem is a
corrupted registry, then Autocad will restart working.
Most of the times, System restore will be enough to fix the problem. If system
restore does not solve the problem, it means that one or more of the Autocad files may be damaged. In that case the only solution will be uninstalling and
re-installing back the design software. You will need a disk and an installation key to reinstall AutoCAD.
Try first doing a system restore, that usually works.

If you have a Mac:
On a Mac try first using repair permissions. Close all application and
log off. Log back on. Go
to Finder, Applications. Utilities, Disk Utility. After the message
saying "Getting Disk Information" select Volume, then Repair
Permissions.
If that does not work reinstall Mac OS or do an update.
If still no luck, you have to reinstall AutoCAD using AutoCAD CD and installation key.
