The Fujitsu fi-6800 hopper (to stack items to be scanned) is in the front of the unit. When the hopper is closed, you need to press the middle upper section of the hopper. Then bring down the hopper (towards you and the table top) while supporting the hopper with your hand. Adjust the hopper extension as needed. Unfortunately, the problem is the Windows 10 version. The first few versions of Windows 10 worked with TWAIN scanners. I've forgotten the exact release (possibly 20H2) and later versions of Windows 10 require the WIA (windows image acquisition) scanner drivers. The switch was around the same time as Windows' release that required manufacturers digitally sign the drivers. The work-around to continue using some TWAIN scanners is the VueScan software from https://www.hamrick.com/ . This software translates between TWAIN and WIA so that Windows 10 accepts the use of the scanner. Download the software and check if it works with your scanner before you decide to purchase it. The fi-6130 is listed as a supported scanner; I still recommend testing the software. The software puts a watermark on scanned documents when you use the free version. The automatic document feeder will not work properly in the free or basic version. You need the standard or professional license to use the ADF properly. I hope this helps. To scan a document into the computer you have to start the scan from the manager on the computer ...and there for you need it installed if you do not have it ..The button on the scanner will not send the scanned result to the computer ...but if you choose the job from the desktop command ..
so ..open the printer/scanner utility ..choose scan ..and the mode document or picture..and proceed..
it will ask you where to save it ..or auto place it in the my documents /my scans

get the download form ..fill it up ..and get the snap scan manager ..and use it ...if you have it ..just open it and make the scanning from there ..
