just reinstall the main game install data so just delete it from your installed data list NOT THE SAVE DATA! and then reinstall it probably skipped an important section of the install data that should fix it

most games have forums for these types of things on their official sites...every game has issues...for example theres a update problem in uncharted 2 where if u get a bad connection or something during update then u have to delete EVERYTHING in ur game data utility having to do with ur game...then redownload and install it all.

how long are you waiting for? we get this problem alot, we have to exit back to the main screen then try again, try make a new account with another email and see if that works, it could also be a server error not just your end, you might just be struggling to connect to there server. this is a big issue lately especially when map packs come out.

Here's what to do - as instructed by Sony UK (Tel: 0844 736 0595):

If you've tried `restoring` and it continues to reset/repeat to the same message:
Turn the console off by holding/pressing the power button down until you hear three spaced out beeps (before powering down);
Then hold in the power button again until you eventually hear a first and second beep - followed by a quick double beep, then take your finger off the button;
This should bring up a six option menu, such as `System Restore` etc;
Select `System Restore` and follow the instructions;
If in the event it repeats your first problem, i.e. repeating the same message, then repeat the above process to get back to the six options, although this time select `System Reset` or similar;
This will sort your problem although you will probably lose saved game data (if not backed up on a memory stick or something prior to your problem).
If you play Modern Warfare 2 online, then your data will be saved on the Sony Server anyhow and won't be lost.

When carrying out the above actions, the loading bar can be a bit slow at times. This is due to repairing the corrupted data etc on your hard-drive.

From the statement I understand it may happen due to various reasons. First of all test the Internet Connection. Go to your computer Network Settings, check the Internet Connection. Now lets try a power drain. Trun Off both Computer and router if any, unplug both PC & router from walloutlet. Keep on pressing the power button of PC and router for 20 secs, it will drain the static enery from the computer & router. Trun ON the router first followed by computer. Now, click Start> control Panel> Internet Options> Click "Delete Cookies and Delete Files", click OK. Now, you can try to connect to the servers. It should take care of the issue.

Each CD has a specific CD key to avoid making copies of it to sell it to others. This means each CD can only be installed once.

Your options:
- Get the original version of your copy, uninstall this on the PC it is used on, and install it on the PC you like with the CD key (the CD key can be found inside the box or on the backside of the manual).
- The second option is to just make sure the original version is uninstalled wherever it was installed on, so you can use the original CD key (if you have it) to install it.

Otherwise I am afraid you cannot do anything with a copy of the game, and you will need a new CD key, but that is only gettable by buying a new game (original). The goal of a CD key is to avoid having people making copies, and that is what I think happened to you.

Hi,
Firstly, ensure the console is connected to the Network via an Ethernet cable or WiFi. You will then have to access the Playstation Network via the main menu and create a new profile, i.e. User Name, email address.

Once all complete, you can then tick the small box to `Automatically Log On Each Time You Connect To The Network`. This will save you having to type in your User Name etc each time you play online.

Basically you need to connect to your routers IP the same way you would go to any ordinary website, if somebody set up your network for you, for example your dad, you might want to ask him to help you out.

Sorry dude. COD4's company keeps a record of all the used CD keys. So pretend I gave you my CD key. If you used it, it would say: "This serial key has already been used..." blah blah blah. Overall, it wont let you play. So you gotta buy a new one, or find your old on.

With a UAV, when you get 3 kills in a row, you can then call on a UAV.

Does the disc have any scrapes or greasy marks, including finger prints? If so, use a CD cleaning cloth (not a normal cloth as it may be too coarse and make the scratches worse), or use the palm of your hand under your thumb!

Also, I'm not sure if it really makes any difference, but is it possibly because it's NTSC (USA) format instead of PAL (UK)?

That's a bad idea. You will waste your money. One way or another, the game company will find out about your son's cheats. You WILL GET BANNED. that will totally waste money on MW2, and the cheat.

It could be your router or network settings for your internet. Do you use Port forwarding? The Playstation site tells you all the ports you need to use. Also try putting your playstation in a DMZ.
