Yes this has happened to many of veterans as well. There was a time just after christmas of 07 that this happened. You should restart your router and see if that works...if not that means the PSN servers are probably down

Don't worry, happens from time to time is just when they are doing stuff to the servers or making updates. Will sort itself out.
I've got cod5 and I get the same, the Playstation network is just a bit dodgy, lets hope they sort themselves out before
cod modern warfare 2!

Yes you can from your old PC.

On your OLD PC, go to your directory where you installed COD4
For me, it's J:\Call of Duty4\players\profiles
Copy the Profile Folder, named by your Profile Name, and the .txt "active"
Copy it to a external device, transfer to your new PC in the COD4 directory under the "profiles" folder.
Load CoD4, and it will appear.

Good luck

Please make sure you have the current patches installed before you install the Add-on maps. Unfortunately there is little support fro Add-on maps, I suggest going http://www.cod4forums.com/ .. registering, and posting there for help. I'm sure you will find the solution to the problem there!

Good luck!

They are making updates to the servers.
Please be patient as they are trying to get the servers up and running.

And yes, some people can still connect to the servers while others can't. This is normal during updates. Just wait for about a week and this will go away. If there's still a problem, call Activision and tell them of the problem.

I had this problem with other PB games, Try and Open the ports for Pb if your behind a router, :) 24349 Is the UDP Port that needs opening, That did it for me, good luck

Activision Call... | Answered on Jun 06, 2009

If you are on a router you may want to open the ports for online play. 28960 on TCP & UDP P.s. If you are on a linksys router the Ip that you type in your browser is most likely 192.168.1.1 and for Dlink 192.168.0.1 If you dont use either of these router companies check the manual and it should tell you the Ip address, or go into CMD prompt on windows and type in "Ipconfig"

To play online, you have to buy original game. There is nothing in the world which can help you to play pirated game online. cz, there is an online checking system of the original game.

Check the 24 Hz setting in the BD/Blu-ray setting area. Some televisions do not support this option. Turn it off. It will prevent blu-ray movies from playing.

if you are using a wireless connection the signal may be to weak. if not you can try deleting your game and save data. you will lose any single player saves you will also have to re download any map packs you purchased. the game should also do an update when you load again after deleting the game and save.
