No spark at plugs after replacing coils it has spark advance what do I look for next
Check for the switching pulse at the coil input terminal. It should be less than the battery voltage but not zero, or pulsing in sync with the engine (if you know the spark dwell angle, you can calculate the voltage by multiplying it by the number of cylinders, dividing by 360 degrees, then multiplying by the battery voltage). If you don't get any indication that the coil is being switched to ground to generate the spark, your distributor contact (for mechanical ignition switches) , magneto or electronic ignition module could be the problem. Before changing whatever one of these you have, double-check the wiring to the coil - a misplaced, broken or loose wire will have the same effect.
Kohler command 20 twin engine - no spark
If there's no spark, then either the spark plug has come into contact with gas, or the ignition coil is bad. Try either replacing the spark plugs, or removing the old ones and seeing if the tips are damp.If replacing them doesn't work or the plugs are dry, then try replacing the ignition coil.
Kohler engine 241 as no spark
there is a piece next to the flywheel tha has a magnet and grabs resistence that may need replacing. I had this happen on mine. call your local repair shop and ask. I found the answer to mine on youtube and replaced it in about an hour,
Spark and fuel but engine wont fire
Usually a solenoid or battery issue. may be the flywheel too. It does turn and the flywheel on top spins horizontally, yet it will not catch? if so then it may need a solenoid next to the flywheel which grabs resistence as the flywheel spins. cheap fix and on youtube.
