Hello Audio Gurus..This is my 1st time on here.. I

No, the CV speakers are very efficient speakers. That means they create a lot of volume for the amount of power. I will start by saying you will be relatively happy but not blown away.

The HK is an alright HT receiver (very new and feature loaded). It makes a rather weak stereo receiver for it is made for a home theater environment. If you only have a pair of speakers (optimal for music listening) then you have paid for a bunch of other channels that will remain dormant. You would be best off to get a very high-power stereo receiver or integrated amp instead of your HK.

CV speakers are built to blast, but they sounds pretty good at the same time.

Feel free to ask me any audio related question, I've worked in the industry for a good part of my life.

Thanks!

You need to check the connections on the cross over board and also Ohm out the speaker to see if the voice coil is open. If you cannot get the same woofer, then you should replace them in pair, try http://www.parts-express.com//index.cfm?

How many ohms? 6 ? 8 ?

David,
The AT line were all rated at 3.2 ohms. Any amp or receiver rated to handle 4 ohms loads will work. The fuses and tweeter breakers are sensitive to clipping so most low cost amp's and just about every receiver will cause undue clipping. CV stated that increasing the fuse a half amp would increase the time before blowing the fuse or breaker but that will only cause additional harm to the voice coil.

I recently purchased a denon av surround re-

Depending on the wattage of the amp to the wattage off the speakers depends on what to use and how to control them..If your speakers are rated for more power than the amp can produce it will blow the fuses just as if the amp is rated for more than the speakers it will blow the fuse..Those type of speakers do need a good supply of power to run and speaker wire size could play an important part of that.If wire supply is to small it will over heat the coil in speakers and also blow the fuse...Look in side of the boxes to see what kind of capacitors they have on the speakers or there size to insure correct for speakers them selves..Also look at all of the wire routling in the amp to insure proper installation..Hope this helps you..Have a great day I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/joe_a3369546f8067589

Many boxes use friction fit male/female PVC mounts that simply pry apart.

Use an old credit card (or, if you have too many, one that still works!) and slide it in the crack between the frame and box and try prying it.
If assembled this way, it should only take moderate force to pry it away from the box.

Cerwin Vega V-35 Horns Drivers Model TMH-1

first you need a multimeter set to OHM , check on the back of the horn , remove the leads and do some reading , it should read 4 , 8 , 16 ohms depending of the brand , if you get no reading its means that need to be replaced , some horns you can detach the back (magnet w/the coil ) so you can replace it without buying the whole unit . good luck
