My JDL120 MOWER DECK WON'T RAISE OFF THE GROUND MORE THAN 1.5".iHAVE HIT ROOTS AND ROCKS OVER THE YEARS AND WAS STILL ABLE TO RAISE DECK NORMALLY.
First thing is to get down and look at the linkages. You may have a weld that came loose, or a nut that worked it's way off. You may also have something that bent.
Does the lever move all the way up but the deck doesn't move with it, or does the lever stick at the low level.
If it's sticking, you may just have picked up an obstruction like a stick or stone in the wrong place. You may also have a bent or damaged linkage.
Does one side or just the front or back lift up? One of the pins that hold the bars that it pivots on may have come off or broken as well. Looking underneath while someone works the lever for you can tell you a lot.

Do I put oil in the gas????
Yes or no
We aren't mind readers, we have absolutely no idea what you have!!!
On most small garden items like trimmers and chainsaws, yes. On mowers with 4 stroke engines, no! Does it have valves? Valves mean 4 stroke, no oil, No valves means 2 stoke, so oil mix.
make model manual
make model gas oil mix
Old ones are 20 or 25 to 1, modern are 40 to 50 to 1.

Line is constantly breaking on my 20V B&D trimmer. Have tried 2 new spools with no luck.
Strimmer line is consumed constantly in use either by wear against abrasive surfaces or being snagged against stems and suchlike it can't cut through and so tends to break. With lots of patience a lot of those stems can eventually be cut.
Early strimmer users became fed up with the process of stopping work, upturning the machine and releasing more line and starting over and so in order to maintain sales the bump and automatic feed heads were developed.
You description suggests you are using your low powered grass trimmer for heavier work than it is designed for.
