This is how to do it for version 17 so it should be very similar or even the same for version 16

1. Please insert the "Install CD" into your drive
2. Go to my computer (icon on the desktop or in your start menu)
3. Right click on the CD drive containing the disk
4. Left click open
5. Inside this CD is a folder called setup double click the Folder
6. Inside the setup folder is a setup executable (looks like a bluish gray box with two triangles in it) double click this
7. Wait for the installer to initialize and click next
8. If the program is already installed click modify then next. If not click custom install
9. This will bring you to the custom setup screen where you will see approximately 6-7 different title including program CD art disk 1 and art disk 2. Three of the icons next to the drive letters are going to look like CDs and three will look like hard drive icons. Click each of the CD Icons one at a time and a drop down menu will appear.
10. Select this feature and all of its sub features will be installed to the hard drive from the menu. (This will change the CD icon into a hard drive icon.)
11. Do step 9 and 10 for all the CD icons
12. Click next
13. Click install
14. Follow the rest of the prompts

What version of Windoiws do you have?
Make sure the version of PrintMaster Platinum 2.0 works with your operating system, and that the format is CD or DVD and is supported by your drive, and that the operating system you do have is updated via the Internet to the latest version.

After creating your greeting card with print master,Before printing double-sided on specialty paper, it's always a good idea to make a test card on regular paper. Based on the result of the test, you may need to change which way you load the paper.

Consult your printer manual or print a test sheet if you're not sure on which side of the paper-face up or face down-your machine prints.

Enter the numbers of odd-numbered pages to be printed (1, 3, 5, and so on) in the Print dialog box.

Load the paper and click OK to print the odd pages.

Keep the pages in order and reload them into the printer, with the opposite side of the stack facing up this time. (Make sure the top edge of your pages is the same for both odd and even pages so you don't end up with upside-down printing on one side.)

Enter the even-numbered pages to be printed in reverse order (12, 10, 8, 6, and so on) in the Print dialog box, and click OK to print.

Use specialty paper. Instantly boost the impact of your cards, crafts, and calendars by choosing a thicker paper such as HP brochure and flyer paper, HP 5x7 Advanced Photo Paper, or HP 4x6 Advanced Photo Paper

Use HP ink. For brilliantly colored greeting cards that will keep your sentiments from fading, choose HP inks (which will resist fading for up to 108 years1!).

Printmaster Platinum 16 is not compatible with Vista or windows 7. You can try to use Vista compatibility mode to run older programs in Vista. There is not guarantee that it will work!!! Please take note:- **The installation of an older program to run in a newer OS may also crash your PC too.

Printmaster 16 will work with Vista and Windows 7, you need to run setup.exe as administrator.

Broderbund PrintMaster Gold 16.0 is not compatible with Vista.
Platform: Windows 98 / 2000 / Me / XP

You can try to use Vista compatibility mode to run older programs in Vista. There is not guarantee that it will work!!! Please take note:- **The installation of an older program to run in a newer OS may also crash your PC too.

Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer/application first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Just reply back if it still doesn't work.:D rate and vote for me:))

far as I can see platinum 16 is incompatible with windows 7 you have to get the update platinum 18.1 which is compatible.

Printmaster Platinum 16 is not compatible with Vista or Windows 7.
Presently there are not "patches" to make it works.

Your options is to use the newer version eg. version 18.1

If you are installing Printer 15 or 16 on Vista or Win 7 it is not compatilbe to the operating system.
Version 18 for Vista or Version 18.1 for Vista, Win 7.

You can try to use the Vista or Win 7 compatibility mode to install older software but no assurance it will work.
