Just got new computer, can't

You haven't said why you can't use it. I suspect that the software is not compatible with your new operating system.So--a workaround. Get Virtual Box software from Oracle (it's free).Install it and it will create a virtual drive you your computer. On this drive you can install the old operating system (like XP if that is what you had). This will work exactly like another computer and you'll be able to install and run the software. The directions for exactly how to do this are too long for me to type here, but on Oracle's site you should find them.

A couple of problems: 1.

It seems that Broderbund Print Shop 20 Deluxe for PC is for Windows 98 / 2000 / Me / XP.

What you can try:

1. De-install Print Shop
2. Re-install Print Shop in the Windows XP Compatibility mode.

Print Shop 2.0 Deluxe will not load.

Have you tried installing them in Compatibility Mode? If not, look in
Vista's Help
& Support for how to try this. If that doesn't work, you can
try installing them as Administrator by right-clicking on the installer
executable and choosing "run as Administrator".
If none of that works, I'm sorry but you'll need to update to a current
version of the program that the mftr. says will work in Vista.

Welcome to Fixya.

Print Shop has been known for not supporting backward compatibility in the past few years and right now there are no available softwares that is compatible with Print Shop 20.

The best thing that we can do is to install and run Print Shop 20 in XP SP2 compatibility mode.

Here's how to do it:
Insert the Print Shop 20 installation disk. Locate the SETUP file using the Windows Explorer. (Application file type .EXE) Right click on the SETUP file. Click Properties. Properties window will open, click the Compatibilty tab. Put a check mark on the box that says Run this program in compatibility mode for: Choose Windows XP SP2 in the pull down menu. Put a check mark on the box that says Run this program as an administrator. Click Apply. Click OK. Double click the SETUP file to begin installation. Follow the installation instructions.

Locate the Print Shop Application file using Windows Explorer. (Application file type .EXE in C:/Programs/Print Shop 20/.. ) Right click on the Print Shop Application file. Click Properties. Properties window will open, click the Compatibilty tab. Put a check mark on the box that says Run this program in compatibility mode for: Choose Windows XP SP2 in the pull down menu. Put a check mark on the box that says Run this program as an administrator. Click Apply. Click OK. Double click the Print Shop Application file to run the application.

Keep me posted.

Print shop 20 pro publisher not working properly

Here is a link that will check compatibility, http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Search.aspx?type=Software&s=print%20shop%20pro%20publisher%2023

You may want to uninstall the program and then install in compatibility mode, the link below will guide you through this,

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

If the above does not work, you may want to contact the software developers to see if any updates can be used to fix the problem.

I purchased printshop 20 deluxe

The Print Shop version 20 Deluxe for PC is not compatible with Windows 7. The newer Version 23 is compatible. This is due to software compatibility issues with Windows 7.

You can check for Win 7 Compatibility for "software or hardware" @ Windows 7 Compatibility Center

It will not run on Win 7, even when you are using the Compatibility Mode options. Too bad you have to get the newer version 23.

Hope it helps.

Cannot install. Stop at 'True

Print Shop 20 requires .NET Framework 1.1. In fact, it can only work with version 1.1. If you have any newer version installed, It has to be uninstalled for it to install properly.

has it worked before since you had the hard drive replaced?

if so do a system restore back to the last point it worked

otherwise go to controll panel and add and remove programs then uninstall the program

restart your computer and then re-install the program then it should work as long as you have it working on your other computer if you re-install it there should be no problem

let me know in more detail what is going on

it sounds like it has not installed properly so uninstall it then install again

also because you have a new hard drive you dont have a new computer

Printshop 20 deluxe will not

Yes, it will NOT work on Vista or Windows 7. I had to upgrade to PS 23 on my computer. If you have 7 Professional or Ultimate, it is backwards compatible to accomodate older software. If you have Home Premium, it will NOT work on 7.
Good Luck.

In the middle of adding saved pihotos to a poster

Hello.

From your description, it seems that a virus or malware has affected your operating system and is preventing your from successfully running your Print Shop software.

So, I would suggest running System Restore:

Open the Start Menu. Click on All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and System Restore
Choose a date when your system with Print Shop worked OK. Note: with System Restore, everything, including your documents and other files you saved on the hard drive, will roll back to that date.

Try Print Shop again - hope this resolves your problem.

When I make labels I select"start from scratch"

Install The Print Shop's special fonts when running the automated installation process to ensure all toolbars and documents appear correctly in the software. If you bypassed this option and wish to install it later, click your Windows Start menu and select "Control Panel." Open the fonts control panel. Click "File" in the top menu bar and select "Install New Font." A dialog box will open. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Broderbund\Core Fonts and press "OK."

Adjust your computer's hardware acceleration feature if the Print Shop's layouts or fonts appear distorted or overlap each other. Quit the program. Right-click your Windows desktop and choose "Display Properties" from the pop-up menu. Click "Settings" and press "Advanced." Push "Troubleshoot." Slide the adjustment bar for hardware acceleration one notch to the left. Close the window and resume use of The Print Shop 20. If the program's layout still appears jumbled, repeat this step and slide the bar one more notch to the left, repeating until the layouts no longer appear jumbled.
