Software issue. You need to do a complete uninstall of the program by going into the registry after you uninstall to remove any and all fragments left over by the normal uninstall. THEN, reinstall the program and see what happens.

i open my address book, it's empty. i open my calendar it too is empty. how can i get this program to recognize the files i copied from the old machine? PLEASE HELP! i've tried everything including dragging them both over at the same time (file plus .BAK). i don't know what else to do.

Windows 8 doesn't run Outlook Express. If you are having problems with an old Windows XP program, you are out of luck. You will need to buy a newer version of the program if it is available. Don't worry about hating Win 8, you aren't alone. Everyone hates it, even Microsoft.

Copying the files will not necessarily work, certain registry settings etc will not be established. you may try to install the program (CreataCard Gold 3) using compatibility mode and check if it can be installed. Access the link below and follow the steps to manually change the compatibility settings and install the program in compatibility mode and check if it helps. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows
If the above steps do not work I would suggest you to contact the program manufacturer to verify if they have any updates of fixes to install this application on Windows 7.

Hi there.

If you still have the cd installer, you can use this to install the program into the new computer otherwise, you really need to buy a new copy or get a similar freeware.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you!

Start the "Windows Compatibility Wizard", and tell it that you want to install a "Windows XP" program. Windows 7 will then read the CD, and install the program, and run it in "XP" mode.

This is an old piece of software. You can try right clicking the program icon, going to properties, going to compatibility and attempt to run it in Windows XP or Windows 98 compatibility modes. This may not work as the program is listed as incompatible with Windows Vista 64.
Please give me feedback for this answer, thanks.

You can try to run the software in compatibility mode, which means that you can tell Windows 7 to run the software as if it was any previous version of Windows. To do this, browse to the setup.exe or install.exe file on the disk, right-click and select "Properties". Go to the "Compatibility" Tab, tick the box and select a previous version of Windows - the back of the CD Case will tell you which is the best version.

If a program cannot be run under Windows 7 because of compatibility issues you have to right click on the executable file that will start the application and click Properties. Select Compatibility tab and check the Windows version you know the program worked with before. You can find more about this Compatibility issue on Microsoft website http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-vista/Make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

well there is the Gold 8

that atleast works with windows XP, and generally the programs that run on windows xp also run on windows 7 in my personal experience. But I can't guarantee it. windows 7 also has a compitibility mode that you can use to simulate windows XP or older.

You can install the version gold 7 and right click on its shortcut and select "Troubleshoot compatibility"

You can also manually try different compatibility settings by right clicking on the shortcut and selecting properties, then open the compatibility tab

Feel free to experiement and try all the possibilties offered on this page to get the program to work.

let me know if you have any further questions or if you require further assistance.
