Bose SoundDock iPod Digital Music system (Black) with Monster iCarplay Wireless Plus Bundle (SOUNDDOCKICARPLAY) Docking Station Questions & Answers
My Ipod will not play music when inserted into my
If the Bose system has another kinda input that you use with another devices...and with this one you tried an 3.5 jack input...that one may be for another purpose ...So make a cable and use a normal jack for the Ipod output ...and use another input in the system ...The issue may be some kinda pre amplification needed for the entry you use..For example it mast have a 2 rca cable input like any normal system for a stereo input (or single rca) so ..either use an adapter or make a cable by adding joining an old rca on a 3.5 jack ..
If the Ipod have output signal and the system works it have to work this way ..
Or take a look into the system menu and see if you have to select the input you use ...
Missing power cable for Bose Sounddock
Repair may the only solution.
The new power supply is only slightly different though.. If you don't want to spent the $100 to repair this, you could get the new supply and carve a notch in the top part of the square power input.. Looking at the new power supply, the top is a bit taller and arched but the same specs..
But the new power supply is still expensive. (I think $60+) So for an additional $40 ($100 total) you can get a new supply retrofitted on to the old input. It's worth it- you get a new 1 year warranty, and they put the new Apple dock connector on there (USB charge pin) as well as the power supply, so you can use current iPods as well as old. (Your SD currently won't support- iPhone 3G, iPod Touch 2ng gen, or iPod Nano 4th gen.. it will after a repair)
Remote dose not work
Get a new remote!!! I'm sure if you go on the internet you can find replacement parts and maybe a new remote:)
Pyle P22-03ABTU stereo receiver.
Question edited for clarity. It is a 'Pyle' not a 'Pile'.
It is under warranty. Return it, an internal component has failed probably an electrolytic capacitor.
One thing you can try is to disconnect it and move it to another room to discount EMF from something.

Bose wave radio doesn't turn on with the remote but one time in 20 to30 times pushing the power button.
You can check with new battery in the remote. Next you point a digital camera, a smartphone should do fine, at the infra red transmitter on the front of the remote and then look on the camera screen if you see the ir light flash different pulses for each button. Infra red light can not be seen but a digital camera shows it really well. Confirm this with another remote. Now you know if the remote functions right. Remotes are available on-line or one can use a universal type remote. The IR receiver is often welded onto the circuit board. This means that it is not right behind the front panel window. It can be obstructed, perhaps by dust or displaced. This is generally speaking.

Is there a fuse inside the bose acoustimass 15 series 3 as I have no power led or sound from it.
Yes, the Bose Acoustimass 15 Series 3 system does have an internal fuse that can be a potential cause for the lack of power and sound. If the system is not receiving power or showing any LED indicator lights, it's worth checking the fuse as a first step in troubleshooting.
To access the fuse in the Acoustimass module, follow these steps:
- Ensure the system is unplugged: Before working on any electrical components, make sure the Acoustimass module is completely disconnected from the power source.
- Locate the fuse compartment: The fuse compartment is typically located on the back or bottom of the Acoustimass module. It may be covered by a removable panel or secured with screws.
- Open the fuse compartment: Remove the panel or screws to access the fuse compartment. Inside, you should see the fuse holder.
- Check the fuse: Inspect the fuse visually to see if it is blown or damaged. If the fuse appears blackened, broken, or melted, it is likely blown and needs to be replaced.
- Replace the fuse: If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new one of the same type and rating. Ensure you use a fuse with the correct amperage specified by the manufacturer. It's a good practice to keep spare fuses of the appropriate rating on hand for future needs.
- Close the fuse compartment: After replacing the fuse, securely close the fuse compartment and ensure it is properly sealed.
- Plug in the system: Reconnect the Acoustimass module to the power source and turn it on. Check if the LED indicator lights up and if sound is produced.

Bose lifestyle 18 have rapid loud hum when plug to power supply and no led light on the subwoofer.
If you've replaced the LM4766 ICs and the humming sound returned, there could be a few possibilities to consider:
- Grounding Issues: Humming sounds in audio systems can often be caused by grounding issues. Ensure that all components are properly grounded and that there are no loose or disconnected grounding connections.
- Power Supply Problems: The rapid loud hum could be related to power supply issues. Make sure the power supply is stable and within the correct voltage range. Also, check for any issues with the power cables or connections.
- Filter Capacitors: Check the filter capacitors in the power supply section and around the LM4766 ICs. Faulty or aging capacitors can lead to noise issues in audio systems.
- Signal Interference: Electrical interference from other devices or cables can sometimes cause humming sounds. Make sure the audio cables are properly shielded and not running too close to power cables.
- Speaker Connections: Double-check all speaker connections, ensuring they are secure and properly connected. Loose or damaged speaker wires can lead to noise issues.
- Board-Level Problems: There could be other components on the circuit board that are causing the issue. Inspect the circuit board for any signs of damage, burn marks, or soldering issues.
- Magnetic Interference: Make sure there are no strong magnetic fields or sources of interference near the system that could be causing the humming sound.
- Professional Help: If you've exhausted your troubleshooting efforts and the issue persists, it might be best to seek the assistance of a professional audio technician who has experience with Bose systems. They can perform more advanced diagnostics and repairs.
Remember that working with electronics and audio equipment requires technical expertise and can involve risks, including electrical hazards. If you're not comfortable or experienced with electronic repairs, it's advisable to seek professional assistance to avoid potential damage to the equipment or harm to yourself.
