I am not a baker but I do know dough rises either by the action of live yeast producing carbon dioxide or by the chemical action of bacteria + chemicals as in soda bread.
Soda bread doesn't rise very much and produces a fairly dense bread. A portion of active dough is kept from every batch to start activity in the next batch and in this way the cultures in many artisan breads are unchanged over the last century or two.

Yeast risen bread dough needs 10 minutes of energetic kneading after mixing and then about an hour in a warm place until it has doubled in volume before baking. Be sure to use live yeast and be careful with the amount of salt in the dry ingredients.

There are many recipes online.

How do you get brown stains out of a kettle?
To get rid of limescale, pour approximately 500 mL of vinegar in your kettle and let it sit overnight. In the morning, heat your kettle to a boil for 5 minutes (turn the hold switch off if it's on) and let sit for at least a half hour. Afterwards, rinse out the kettle with fresh water to get rid of residual vinegar.Sep 5, 2019

I completely diassembeled my unit and could find nothing wrong. I reassembled it and had the same problem.

In my opnion the controlled board has failed; time to guy a new Foodsaver.

The small black rubber covered hole on the left side of the vacuum channel is not the reset button, it is the "lid closed" button.

The seal is not the issue as the lights start blinking right after you turn the unit on.

Start here

Locate and check the doorbell system transformer for power. There should be about 24 volts A/C on the secondary side (the side with the smaller exposed wires that go to your doorbell).

The doorbells at the doors are just switches and it sounds like you have already tested them correctly by touching the wires together.

It sounds like a power issue - your electrician may have just disonnected the power wiring after installing the wireless system which would have been the right thing to do.

Wheat germ lasts about two weeks in a refrigerator and about two months in the freezer. Place wheat germ in an area of the refrigerator or freezer which is most likely to remain consistently cold, such as the middle rack, or lower freezer shelf. I also need to discard my wheat germ
