Freezer is making rumbleing noise!
You have an abnormal compressor on running.
Unfortunately , it is hard to repair this compressor. People usually replace the compressor rather than get it repaired.
Prolonged this situation will increase your electricity bill.
Electrician was here yesterday and
Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly,
There is no reset button. There is a thermal overload on the compressor called a KliXon and that is what should be cycling about every 5 - 8 minutes if the compresor did not start.
When there is a temporary loss of power 10 minutes or less there is a good possibility that the internal coolant pressures are way to high for the compressor to start. Unplug the unit for 15 - 20 minutes and plug it back in FIRST. (longer is better) This will give the coolant system time to equalize so the compressor can start. If after trying the unplug / wait / re-pulg routine it still does ot start or cool just repsond here and I will gladly help you.
Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly
How do you change out a maytag ice maker model
If you are trying to unplug the harness from the ice maker housing, take a small screwdriver and press in on the tab that locks the harness into the ice maker. If you are trying to remove the harness from the back or side wall, there is a small tab on the side of the plug that needs to be pulled out to unlock it.
Ice maker not making ice
Hello there:
There's no ice
If your ice maker has stopped producing ice completely, check these, in this order:
It may be turned off. Look for the wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If the wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. If so, try one of these:
If your ice maker has a small red plastic lever, lower it to lower the wire.
If there's no plastic lever, simply lower the wire.
In either case, the ice maker should begin producing ice again. Also make sure that the temperature is 8 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. If the freezer is too warm, the ice maker won't cycle properly.
The ice maker fill tube may be blocked with ice. If so, melt the blockage using a hair dryer-but be careful to not melt any plastic parts! Also replace the water shut-off valve or water-inlet valve, or both, if necessary.
The ice maker head assembly may have broken parts. Look to see if the gears are broken. Check to see if the small plastic arms that rest against the ice rake are broken. If the ice maker head assembly is modular and you've found broken parts, you can just replace it.
Maytag Freezer quit working, Light is on, but not
According to your wiring diagram this is about the simplest machine in the world to work on.
Mounted on your compressor is a relay. The relay allows all the copper windings in the compressor to be energized momentarily to get the motor in the compressor started, then it drops half the cooper out because that's all that is needed once it is up and running. A thermostat allows current in the circuit till the desired temp is reached. I would check that relay first for signs of wear. They go bad with age.
If the relay is good bypass the thermostat's to see if she comes to life. If she starts working replace the thermostat.

Chest Freezer MCCF7WBX.Magic Chef.. Worked fine
Good day,
Could be a tstat, but the machine should be running extremely cold.
Confused as to the age. You said it was 1 1/2 years old. If that is the case. the compressor, and all connecting tubing are under a 5 year factory warrant.
You could replace the tstat, and if within a few days the problem isn't solved, then the rest of the serious problems are covered by factory warranty.
Call your selling dealer for factory warranty service.
It is 5 years old - the top 1/2 stopped cooling,
Good day,
Sounds as if the fan in the freezer compartment isn't running. If so, remove the rear panel of the freezer compartment, inspect, and replace the motor if it tests bad.
If the fan is running, then look for a frost buildup on the lower half of the back panel.
If that's the case, then the defrost system has failed.
It is made up of 3 parts. The main heater, a calrod heater, mounted to the bottom of the cooling coil, and in the same area, a defrost thermostat, a round approx. 1" in diameter item that is clipped to the top of the coil.
Both can be tested with an ohm meter for continuity, once you remove the rear panel. However, the thermostat must be tested before it opens on it's own, which is about 50 degrees.
The last item is the defrost control which can be a timer or a solid state control board.
If it is a timer, you can advance it's shaft clockwise until the machine shuts off. If good it will turn the machine back on within 45 minutes. If not, it is bad and must be replaced.
Without a model number the answers are the best that be given.
If you want to post a response with details and model number, it would be a more detailed response from us.
Below is a description on defrost system basic functions to help you if needed.

Ice maker tray over flows and clumps ice, water
Good day,
The normal operation is for the ice maker to harvest a batch of cubes, and then just before competing it's cycle, to open the valve to add more water for 7 seconds then shut off smartly.
At least 50% of water valve problems cause an overfill problem, because of internal wear etc. that does not let the valve close on time. This causes an overflow problem to the ice maker, and all the problems you described.
It should be corrected as soon as possible, since they have been known to throttle open and never close. Should it be overnight or while away, the damage can become quite serious.
Maytag rtd 2300aaw Fridge.
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. Most times
this is a plugged defrost drain system. The defrost heater in the freezer
section melts the frost and changes it to water, this water is suppose to flow
down a drain system. If this drain system is restricted or plugged the water
will leak inside the refrigerator. The drain system starts in the freezer
section with a tray built under the evaporator coil. The water is funneled
through a small hose into a cup in the top
middle of the fresh food section (not on all models, but this is the most
common way), from there, the water is directed out the back wall to a drain
hose that runs down the back of the refrigerator into a condensing tray. The
heat created under the fridge makes the water evaporate and disappear. Some of
the cups (in the top
back of the fresh food section) can be removed for cleaning. A turkey baster
can be used to help clean out the drain system. Fill the baster with hot water
and "blast" it into the drain hose to help flush it out. A piece of
wire or pipe cleaner can also be pushed into the drain hoses to help clean then
out. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or
else revert for further assistance.
Thanks
Rylee
Found water leaking from our maytag side by side
The defrost drain hole in the freezer side is frozen closed.
Turn off the fridge.Remove the bottom bin and look on the back wall of the freezer for the drain pan. It will have a block of ice in it. Use a hair dryer to defrost the pan AND the drain hole inside the pan, until you can pour a cup of water through the drain hole.
