My Whirlpool Model ED5FHEXNS01 is 4 years old and
Where you dissconnected the water line is not a pump but it is a solonoid valve just like the inlet on your washing machine and the plastic coil has probably gone bung. take it off and have it tested for continuity if it,s open circuit you.ve found your problem,if so replace it. Hope this helps. Kind Regards Stefan.

Whirlpool French Door Freezer on the bottom not
You have a dfrost problem if at all possible remove food from refrigerator and unplug it, leave the doors open. By morning the freezer should be defrosted and that will buy you time to fix or call someone. defrosting can be quickened with use of a hair dryer. This is only a TEMPORARY fix and freezer will need to be defrosted again after 4-5 days.

We have a Whirlpool K40 Ice Maker but it seems to
a few things to check, first off is adequate water supply(obviously).. next check your drain system, if your unit gravity drains look for a blockage, but if you have a secondary drain pump to pump away water check for proper operation, if that pump fails the machine will no longer let water in( thinks it full and no need to produce more ice if it cant get rid of old water

Freezer runs for 24 hours then melts
The defrost timer is going bad. It should go into defrost mode once every 24 hours but it shouldn't allow things to melt. It isn't picking back up. Relatively cheap.

Ice build up
You should to check the Whirlpool Gladiator Freezerator's door sealer to make sure all rubber or plastic seal very well to prevent air humidity come in to build up frost fast. Also, you have to defrost completely and wipe with cloth or paper towel to absorb all waters out and let it dry completely to prevent frost build up.

Ice maker only fills the tray partially.
There is an adjustment, but first check your filters, including the one in the inlet of the control valve. To find the adjustment, take the cover off the front of the ice maker. On the side may be a little hole. Look for any 'increase' arrow or such. If not, use a small screwdriver to turn the adjustment a half turn and let it make a load of ice. If it gets smaller, go the other way, use small adjustments. If you can get the owner's manual, it will help a lot. Google your unit for one, you may be able to get it downloaded free from Whirlpool.
