I know it is kind of late to answer this, but those who are looking anew for a solution to this problem might find this helpful so writing my experience. I also brought a Preethi mixie, 110V from India and in less than two uses of about 5-10min it stopped. I searched everywhere for a solution and even called service center in Chicago (yes, there is one in Chicago, IL) and finding it difficult to go there and get it repaired, I dared to open it. I am glad I did as I noticed a connector wire (with a plastic seal/insulator) is burnt. It is a simple fix and I cleaned the burnt part and carefully exposed the wire a little bit more and connected it back to the other wire as it is supposed to and put the insulator back in its place. I started the mixer and its working now :) I have been using it for a month now since I fixed it to make dosa batter, chutneys etc and it is still working. So I think this is the problem most of us had with mixer not working after few minutes of usage and even the overload button not working. Try this and let me know if this solved your problem. Contact service. Sounds like the oil eeal/wiper die needs replacing and this can be a pain to do.

I would suspect the brushes.

I would try to purchase one by searching eBay.com, and if necessary, if the price is right for you, purchase a replacement model of the same kind if necessary. I have to assume it is a Black and Decker model, but let us know if you can enter the model number and make information in the comments block, please. Check that there is power to the outlet by plugging something else in to test it. If the outlet is good then the mixer has an open circuit, fried motor, etc. Any of which would probably cost more to fix than buying a new one especially for safety reasons.

a couple things cause this. One is that something like dough has gotten into the socket. Clean it out with shellfish tools. Second is that the spring steel wire that fits around the socket has slipped - hopefully up. See if it can be pulled back into place with small pliers or forceps. The worst case is when the socket itself has been damaged and lost one or more "fingers" that grasp the beater. That is sadly not easily repairable.

Make of mixer, model number

Try and get some CRC or similar into the connection so that it can get between the planetary driving shaft and the paddle. Elbow grease and muscle is what is going to free it up. Twist & turn until it frees up. Once you get it off polish up the shaft and scrape the hole clean with a knife or similar. There will be a black build up in the paddle hole. Flour gets in there and works itself into the alloy creating that black crust that locks the paddle onto the shaft.

have you called Sunbeam? if that does not work, go to Sherwin Williams. They have machine that can "duplicate colors" by that it can tell you what color it is and make it for you. p.s. you have to paint it or get someone to do it for you.

However, you have placed your question in the Food Mixers category. Is it a portable cement mixer or something else, perhaps spelled differently?

Contact Fingerhut Customer Service Ask Fingerhut if they know of a source. May find a used one on eBay. That model appeared to be manufactured in 2002, over 15 years ago, so it may be difficult to locate. I was only able to locate a similar named model on eBay, but not the same model number.
