Directed 1100 d turns on but no sound
hi there
few steps to try
1) try grounding amp to a new location
(make sure the amp is grounded by itself)
2) check the power wire from the battery to the amp
3) if the 2 steps don't solve the problem try turning your amp settings down and disconnect the power wire from the amp after a few seconds reconnect the power wire and amp should reset itself.........
if this doesn't work let me know there are other tricks that can be done but these are the most common firsts to be tested (also make sure the ground wire is larger than the power wire)
hope this helps

My 1500d directed blow fuses
It is for sure that you have a short in the amplifier and so will need to open the set to identify before the power is switched on. So first of all use a good multimeter to check for short in the output drivers. Disconnect the power line to the drivers and see if the set triggers on. If not trace it to the circuit near the power supply which makes the fuse blow. It can be easily found out by checking for the short or the voltage drop when powered. I hope you could try. Good day

How do i connect a directed 1100d amp to a jl
Hello disciple_sco,
The 3v2-D4 Jl's have 4ohm voice coils. The 3v2-D2's have 2ohm voice coils. If you have the D4, you should run the voice coils in parallel, both positives and both negatives to the respective amp terminal. This will result in a 2ohm load to the amp. If you have the D2, I'd series the voice coils, jumper one positive to the other negative and connect the other positive and negative to the amp terminals. This will result in a 4ohm load to the amp.
Hope this helps.

Directed 1100d is it 1 ohm stable?
I don't know how you are coming up with a total load of 1 ohm , but if you do manage to hook that amp to a 1 ohm load you will almost certainly blow that amp. Good luck and please don't forget to rate this answer.Thanks.

Amp doesnt turn on.
it sounds like it is blown..one way to test it is put the remote wire and the power wire together and put it to the possitive of a drill battery and the put the ground to the nagitive at the drill battery..if it goes right to protect then it is blown!

My 1100d directed amp cuts n and out as i play it, and sometimes
most reputable car audio shops can give you (or have thier own) repair techs. is the new amplifier rated down to the same impedence you have your subs wired to?
Any protection lights coming on the face of the amplifier?
It has a lights that come on for Thermal, DC offset, over/under voltage, reverse polarity and short circuit protection.
May be a faulty turn on module.
Get it repaired before more happens internally for a costlier repair.
