St4000 pops into standby
Hi
This is almost always caused by a dirty connection at the standby contact. If you're handy with electronic repairs, take the control apart and clean the circuit board for the contacts with silicone spray (safe for plastics) and a Q-tip and reassemble. Works 99 44/100% of the time.
Hope this helps.

Our Raymarine SPX 10 with
Hi,
I'm not sure if you have tried this, but do it first and we will go on in case it fails.
Motor phasing check
The system will check the drive connection from the SmartPilot X. Once it has
completed the check successfully, a message will appear asking if it is safe for the
system to take the helm.
1. Press ENTER to continue.
2. If the rudder moves to port, press ENTER. If it
moves to starboard, press CANCEL.
3. When prompted, press ENTER to confirm
that the motor phase is now correct.
The system now knows which signals to send the
rudder control for turns to port and starboard.

ST6000 controlhead shows full display
Raymarine told me the unit was faulty. I stripped and found corrosion on one side of the circuit board. After cleaning it worked again. I suspect there is probably corrosion on the other side of the board as well but not sure how to acces it. Afraid to break the CB trying to remove from housing
