try calling eclipse.

on the back there should be 4 AV style receivers. 2 are for speakers and 2 are for sub. the sub will more that likely be labeled SW with a red and a white. If there are only two AV receivers than you probabally cannot hook up a sub properly. But you can always use the speaker ones, just wont be as good

you the the frist cd that was ever put it there. that cd had a security code burned on to it the frist time it was put in the cd player. thats the only way you can get that brand to work.

if its a flip down you have a little pin inside of the deck itself you can reset thus it should clear the code but if there is an error message then it may in internal problem with the unit itself

With the unit turned off, hold down the disp (display) button and use 1 & 2 for hr up down and 3 & 4 for minutes up down.

unplug radio to run antenna now radio screen display's SEC help then numbers come up at the bottom of SEC . This is for a eclipse3000

you need to hold the display button while you depress the #1 to change the hour up, the #2 for the hour down. The #3 and 4 for the minutes. My 14 year old figured this out for me. Hope it is help full

Reading online. This error is due to a faulty motor you would need to contact the vendor to see about replacement of motor or defective unit.

Oh yeah! Eclipse probably has the BEST recovery on stolen players. You call the 800 number, they tell you to send it in, then they give it back to the person who got it stolen from. If that person is you,then call the number and they will unlock it. If that person is not you, then you may have bought a hot CD player.

purchased my car used and have no idea what the key cd is. Battery went bad so now I have no cd player. Display shows serial # of unit. Any way to fix this?

When you first set up the stereo, you inserted a security CD which was a CD of your choice. You need to just place that same CD in and it should restart your radio

The security CD is the 1st CD you put in after reset.
For example: If you go to the shop and have the radio reset. On the way home you put in Jimi Hendrix, that CD becomes your security CD. 
You better have that CD the next time you change your battery, or you'll be going back to the shop to have your radio reset.

The manual states 
1. " An (ERR_) message will appear, then change to a flashing (DISC), then the CD will be ejected." 
You will have 5 uninterrupted attempts to insert the correct CD.
2. After the 5th incorrect attempt, the display reads (HELP)
3. If (HELP) appears on the display, press button (6), then the (FUNC) button, and hold them for 5 seconds.
4. Press the (FUNC) button. You will have 5 more attempts to insert the correct disc.
IF AFTER 10 TRIES, AND IF THE CORRECT KEY CD HAS NOT BEEN INSERTED, THE DISPLAY READS (CALL 800); THE UNIT MUST THEN BE RETURNED TO ECLIPSE TO BE RESET. CONTACT ECLIPSE DEALER OR CALL (800) 233-2216.

1. Press the "func" button for more than 1 sec. 2. Press the "custom" button to switch the clock adjustment mode. 3. Press the "source" button to select the hour or minutes to be adjusted. (The blinking one can be adjusted.) 4. Press the (<BND>) button. (<) button : Turns the time forward. (>) : Turns the time back. 5. Press the "custom" button again to return to he normal mode.
