DCS CT-365 Gas Cooktop Questions & Answers
2 of 5 burners do not start
The spark gap needs to have flow of gas across it for ignition to occur. The gas outlet holes at the point where the igniter sparks may be blocked, clean and inspect these for any blockages. Also check that the igniter spike is in the correct place. Careful evaluation of the position of the igniter in reference to the gas ring on the other rings may help you here. Good luck

DCS CT365SS igniter wires?
no not standard. but you can replace them if you know a good place to buy high temp wires. If not buy the upper wire harness for the range and the igniter wires will be in that.

My defy slimline cooktop shows ER42 but I changed the capacitors, what is wrong?
The ER42 error code typically indicates an issue related to insufficient power being delivered to the ceramic element.
Check Power Supply: Ensure that the cooktop is receiving adequate power. Verify that the power supply is stable and not fluctuating.
Inspect the PCB (Printed Circuit Board): Since the error points to a fault on the PCB, visually inspect the control board for any signs of damage, loose connections, or burnt components.
Capacitors: You mentioned that you've already changed the capacitors. While this is a good step, it's essential to ensure that the new capacitors are correctly installed with the same rating and polarity.
Reset the Cooktop: Turn off the power to the cooktop completely. Disconnect it from the mains for a few minutes, then reconnect it and power it back on. Sometimes, a reset can clear minor glitches.
No joy? Consider professional repair.
