The black wire coming from the power cord will go onto the terminal closest to where the cord goes into the vacuum. Sometimes there is a black dot next to the terminal. The white wire from the cord will attach to a piggy-back terminal on the white wire coming from the lights and will attach to the motor on the other side of the motor from where the black wire attached. There may also be a black dot beside that terminal as well. The black wire from the lights will attach to a terminal on the side where you attach the white wires, either right next to them or above them on the same side of the motor. Hope this helps you.
This could be for various reasons. Check the power cord and try a different outlet first. See if the power cord is loose or damaged. Next check the brushroll and belt that those are in working order. If you smelt burning or electrical fire or your vacuum made an odd noise before stopping it may be the motor going bad. If your power cord is good and the brushroll and belt good, it is probably your motor going bad.

There are a couple of tricks. One is to put the belt on the shaft first and them roll it onto the brush roller. The other way which I did in my hotel (I had 3 of them) is to pull the brush out, put the belt on the spindle shaft, then onto the roller, the you can stretch the belt with it already in place and lower the roller into place.
The belts are stiff.
If the plastic blue clip on your Oreck Magnesium vacuum cleaner has broken, you will need to replace it to keep the bag securely attached to the vacuum. Here are the steps to replace the clip:
Locate the broken clip. It is usually located on the underside of the vacuum, near the bag opening.
Remove the broken clip by gently prying it off with a flat-head screwdriver or a similar tool. Be careful not to damage the surrounding area.
Obtain a replacement clip. You may be able to purchase a replacement clip from an Oreck dealer or online retailer.
Attach the replacement clip to the vacuum. The clip should snap into place and hold the bag securely.
Test the clip to make sure it is properly attached and holding the bag securely.
That is the right place and the charge light is on. The thing that you dont know is how old are the batteries that are in it. The light shows that there is current going into the unit. It does not show if the batteries are taking a charge and holding it. If the batteries are old it can take days to wake them up. Sometimes they dont ever recover and need to be replaced.
If you are referring to the handle with the bag on it, the repair is a simple one, You will need a Phillips screwdriver. The motor part of the vacuum has a ball-shaped clamp. Simply insert the handle as far as it can go into the clamp and screw the screw tight. To prevent this from happening again, you may want to buy some thread lock and squirt a drop on the threads of the screw first and then tighten.
Was the CR2032 battery replaced? It is an easy fix. The one in this video obviously had an internal short as it had between zero and 0.19 volts but all devices have a threshold that they won't work below. He explains at the end other parts that can make this model fail. He also says about counterfeit batteries and I have come across that..

If your vacuum can't work like before, then you've come to the right place. Not all device modules are the same. But the basics are the same. We will look at a couple of methods that may not directly harmonize your machine. However, the ways are the same that you can apply yourself.
Most wall powered vacuum cleaners have an internal safety switch that turns off the power to the motor when it gets too hot due to airflow restriction, to protect the motor (and to prevent any potential fires)
Have you checked that the filter is clean and not clogged up? Is the dust canister also reasonably empty or at least not full to overflowing
You seem to have a clog in your pump. It is possible that left over soap and minerals from your water have brought your machine to a stop. I would go into the pump it self , and clean out any obstructions, then check all your feed lines for the same. I believe that going into your pump and cleaning inside will solve your problem. Take your time. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.
