Farenheit DVD-36 Car DVD Player - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
I hook my farenheit dvd player up every thing comes on but no sounds comes out of it what could i have wrong
It looks like a stand alone dvd player from the picture and there is no sound power so to speak for those units just a left and right audio signal ( Red and White ) Yellow is for video of course. Make sure you have the red and white audio OUT going into the INPUT of your power ( your main radio ) and as long as your radio is working correctly you should have sound. Some of those stand alone units come with a 3.5 mm or 1/8 jack and you have to make sure which is audio and which is video and get them to the right inputs of your radio. if that doesn't work check your radio am/fm or cd player and if sound works with them it is probably not getting the audio signal correctly. Good Luck !
When i put a dvd, or a cd in the player, it
you are going to have to clean the laser eye now if youve gottin something on it from a cd like a dried spilled drink then a cd laser cleaner kit may not work you will have to take the head unit out take it apart and gentily clean it with 90% alchol and some Q-tips but be very careful

You can search for a harmonic frequency and tune to it - usually the 2 or 3 is best but the signal maybe too low to receive it.
Need to use my car radio frequency for my dvd
You want to pick a frequency where there isn't an existing station, so the radio will have a clear signal from the dvd player.
If the DVD player only has a few frequencies to choose from, then tune the radio to each one (with the DVD player turned OFF) and see which one has the most static and the least signal from radio stations in your area.
If the DVD player can be set to any frequency, then just pick a frequency (usually down on the "88" side of the FM band) with the least local signal, then set your DVD player to use that frequency.

How to install
I LOVE Farenheit products...Unfortunately, without experience this job is best left to the experts. If you insist on trying it...you'll need a couple dozen barrel-type or "crimp" connectors 12-14ga., electrical tape, 3M scotchlocks same size and a continuity test light or multimeter.
If not, a local car stereo installation shop MAY do it for you for $$$...Check Crutchfield.com for manuals/installation tips etc...doesn't matter what brand it is...just match the same capabilities.
