Sounds like what you said. Time for a motor. The motor has an internal overload and will shut the machine off if the motor runs hot.
Good Luck

BURNT OUT ELEMENT NEEDS A SERVICE TECH TO REPLACE IT

A dryer is a high-power electrical appliance, consuming more than 1000W. I have measured one before and it consumed around 6000W. To heat the wires that produce heat, a lot of current is pulled and since it is connected to the same supply source of electricity, there is a dip in voltage from other areas before it resumes. It means the lights and the appliance are on the same circuit. This is the most common reason. These appliances need a dedicated source as they pull a lot of electrical current, especially when they start.
There may be other reasons: Loose wires that may need to be checked by a qualified, professional electrician.

Hope that helps.

Most TV's use a switchmode power supply, you can hear it when the tv "clicks" as it turns on from the remote.
Over time, these can suffer from dry solder joints, among other problems, due to the power supply heating and cooling constantly when the TV is on and off.
One thing you can try, as a test, is to blow a hair dryer into the air vent on the TV for a few minutes, and then see if it turns on more reliably, as usually heating the power supply fixes the problem in the short term. This would also be evidenced if the TV will usually turn on just after turning it off, but leaving it off for an hour or two results in the problem coming back.
Unfortunately these days it's cheaper to get a new TV with all the new tech standards, than have the old TV fixed just for something else to go wrong in another year or two.

What is Shiver Mode?
I know what you are thinking - it's when you go out in the snow and you come back in freezing cold, but apart from that how many people know what GHD shiver mode is?
At FixMyGhds we occasionally get GHD repairs sent to us and when we test them there doesn't appear to be a fault. We go through the ghds and test all the components thoroughly and as a last resort we will ring the customer. When we ask what the fault is they say it is a constant beeping noise and they don't warm up.
There are a couple of reasons for this. 1 is a fault in the circuit boards in side the GHD arms and the other is 'Shiver Mode'.
Shiver Mode is a feature that GHD straighteners have built in in all models after the GHD 3.1b. (so GHD4.0 to 4.2b, 5.0 ect). It is designed so that when the temperature is below about 11 degrees C the ghds will not power the heater plates up and the GHD,s will just make a constant beeping noise.
The reason why this feature has been built into the straighteners is because if they were to get suddenly warm from below about 11 degrees the moisture in the air surrounding the PCB,s can form condensation. The condensation on the electronic components may then cause damage to the PCB's and permanently damage the straighteners to the point where they wont power up at all and need to be sent off for repair.
11 degrees is pretty cool for the straighteners to get if they are kept in a centrally heated house but in very cold weather if the heating hasn't been on overnight they may get below this threshold temperature. Also if you have been travelling and the ghd's have been left in a cold car for example they may go into Shiver Mode when you first take them into the house.
If your GHDs are constantly beeping and wont heat up, before you book a repair let the straighteners warm up to above 11 degrees and they should then work properly. If you are in a rush to use them then they can be placed on a radiator for a short period of time or gently heated with a hairdryer.
If this still doesn't work then there is a good chance that they have gone faulty and a repair should be booked from the home page of our web site www.fixmyghds.com All the repairs are carried out within 24 hours of us receiving them.
If you are unsure or want any more information about ghd repair please ring Mike on 07788 144744

This info is incorrect. I found myself in the same situation this morning and was able to find a parts diagram here https://dryernotheating.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/T1500-Miele-Dryer.pdf.
You need to follow the directions for removing the front panel and then move the door switch, the hinge supports (that you dropped) and the hole covers from the other side (they cannot be correctly reinserted either without opening the front panel. Use zip-ties to route the wires for the switch to the other side.
Then you need to move the latch on the door and the plastic grommets that the hinge pins go into. For that you need to disassembl the door (12 screws). There was also a strip of double-sided tape - pry the inner panel apart carefully!

depending on your model The F-01 error code indicates a primary control board failure . If the error cleared after unplugging it for a while, then the control board could have received a power surge or glitch through the electrical lines. Completely disconnecting the electrical power and then reconnecting it will sometimes reset the board and it will operate properly. If your dryer continues to operate properly, then resetting the control board may have fixed your problem.

If the dryer motor continues to stop, then you may have a bad control board. A wiring problem or drive motor failure could also prevent the dryer from continuing to run properly. A technician is normally needed to diagnose and repair this type of problem.

If the F-01 returns and will not clear, then you will need to replace the control board in the dryer
