No power to Dyson pure cool fan
Check the fans cord. There might be damage to it. Try another outlet it could be the outlet the fan is plugged into. If you see no physical problems with fan. I would enter the serial number in dyson support and see if they will replace the fan. Here is dyson's support page to get started. http://www.dyson.com/support.aspx
How do I replace power cable
Hi Lala, it's Jack at Dyson.
If your Dyson DC40's cable has been damaged, we would recommend having this replaced by a qualified Dyson engineer - you can contact us directly to arrange this. Just to make you aware, attempting to repair your machine yourself could invalidate any remaining Dyson warranty coverage, meaning repairs or replacement parts in future could be chargeable.

Brand new dyson DC40 has no suction at bottom
Hi Marin, it's Jack at Dyson.
DC40 is a powerful mid-size Dyson upright vacuums, and we wouldn't expect you to have any concerns about performance on hard flooring or carpet. As long as the machine is used and maintained as described in the User guide we would not anticipate a change in performance, and we're on hand to help if Dyson owners need assistance.
It's important to note that for effective pickup, the cleaner head needs to form a close seal with the floor surface. Simply placing a hand under the cleaner head does not give an accurate idea of suction as you're not creating a seal, as you would be when you place your hand right across the end of the wand or hose. If you turn on and recline the vacuum, turn off the brush bar then lower the cleaner head onto something like a sheet of newspaper, you should see the newspaper held tightly against the soleplate by the vacuum's powerful suction.
We're keen to discuss this with you, and to help ensure your DC40 is working as well as it should be. Please email your full contact details to my colleagues at
[email protected], and one of our experts will be in touch as soon as possible to provide further assistance.
Dyson dc40 won't stay upright
Hi Wendy, it's Jack at Dyson.
Our current generation of Dyson Ball upright vacuums uses a pedal-free stabiliser mechanism. When you've finished using the machine, stand it upright firmly. You should hear two clicks - the first is the suction changeover valve redirecting the suction to the hose and wand. The second click is the upright lock mechanism securing the body in place.
As long as you've stood the machine up firmly enough, you shouldn't have any difficulty with it not remaining upright - this may take some getting used to if you've previously owned a vacuum cleaner with a pedal-based system.
If you would like any further help with your machine you can reach our experts directly by calling the Dyson customer Helpline on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), or 1800 239 766 (AU).

What size Torx screwdriver do I need to fix a Dyson V8
You ONLY need a T15 for these models DC01, DC02, DC03, DC04, DC05, DC07, DC08, DC14, DC19 and DC25.
If you are going to be working on models such as the the DC24 and other later Ball machines like the DC15 and DC18, and newer machines like the DC39, DC40 and DC41, not to mention new Cinetic machines, you will also need a T10 with an anti-tamper end and also a T8 for some jobs.
If you are planning to repair later models, get a T8, T10 T and the T15 T (The extra "T" denotes anti-tamper).
My dyson dc25 got over full and just stopped working. It turned on with half power but wouldn't sick anything up and now won't turn on at all. Please help.

If the suction on your Dyson Ball Cleaner Head stops when the head is attached, it could be due to a problem with the head itself or with the vacuum's hose and wand. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
- Check the hose and wand for any blockages or kinks. Remove any blockages or straighten out any kinks to restore suction.
- Check the hose and wand for any visible damage, such as holes or cracks. If the hose or wand is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
- Check the connection points between the hose, wand, and cleaner head to make sure they are secure and not loose.
