Make sure (ide) if the jumpers are set correctly ie master - slave - cable select Some time you need the BIOS to detect the drive and it's position like secondary drive O set for AUTO Then if that is good, go to LG's site and look for the latest Firmware for your model under support-download and drivers And finally is it compatible with Vista..or what Operating System you are using. And finally get a laser lens cleaner and clean the player's lens. It looks like a cd with an eyelashes glue on it. kennsington makes them and several other companies. Barring all that a combo drive like your can be replace for $15-$20 pending where you shop. Please record the amount of time that it takes until your device goes into sleep mode and set a timer for 5 minutes less than that time everytime you begin to use the lg device. At the points the timer/alarm goes off, you can simply lower/increase the volume and the lg's internal sleep timer should be reset.

Please try using an alternative connection to the hdmit and test the monitor buttons again. And using analog mode prior to testing the monitor buttons again sounds like a good test as well.

'the nozzles orange'? Do you means 'orange nozzles', or is 'orange' a typo? There should be no oranges back there :>)
It you have removed the dispenser drawer, the nozzles cause the water to flow into the correct compartments.
