Hi,
check all the settings that you have on the PS3 make sure that you did not miss out anything that you had before from what you will be having right now, also try to reset you Headset if it is possible, maybe you need to try and have the setting reset on the headset as well since it was synced to your Old PS3 right.
Have a nice day.

Bought mad catz wireless usb

Hello,
It can be deduced from your problem that the bluetooth headset you purchased is mal-functioning as a result of the fact that it has a factory default, since you havn't even used it for once before the problem occured.
The only solution is to take it back to the point of purchase to get a replacement, because if you try to fix it now you'll void the warranty that came with it.

Thanks and have a nice day.

So i bought the Mad

Hi Matthew,

With those headsets that think is a known issue.
If nothing happens when you hold down the answer button then the battery must be out (or the headset is faulty).
If you tried to plug it into a USB on a PC to charge it, and the red light does not stay on then I'm afraid it became faulty.
All you can do now is to get back to the retailer who sold it to you and get a replacement for it, or if the retailer cannot help you consider getting back to MadCatz requesting a replacement if it's still within warranty.

Hope it helps.

Okay i have the mad

If the headset you have is the Item No. 8860 in order to use it you have to pair it.
If you are using it on a PS3 then be sure that you have selected the headset in the PlayStation's settings.

Pairing is a process of associating Bluetooth devices with each other. It will establish a permanent security link between the devices and enable quick access to the services provided without the need to re-enter Pass Keys. You will only need to pair your PS3 and the Headset once.

Paired devices remain paired even when:
-One of the devices is powered off.
-A service connection is interrupted or stopped.
-One or both devices are restarted.

Pairing the Headset with the PS3
Before the Headset can be used with the PS3, the two devices must be 'paired' so they can communicate with each other. Use a gaming controller for this procedure and ensure that the Headset is powered on (flashing blue LED light) and that it is not being charged via USB cable.

1. Power on your PS3 console.

2. Within the "Settings" menu, press X on "Accessory Settings."

3. Press X on the icon labeled: "Manage Bluetooth® Devices."

4. Scroll down and press X on the icon labeled: "Register New Device."

IMPORTANT: Depending on your model of the 8860 Bluetooth® Headset, your power button is either an oval shape with an icon of a circle with a line going through it (5a) or it is a button with a phone icon (5b). Please follow the appropriate next step depending on your model of the 8860.

5a. Once at the next screen, prepare the Headset to be paired with the PS3 by holding down the K1 button until the LED flashes Blue and Red (hold K1 approx 12 seconds).

5b. Once at the next screen, prepare the Headset to be paired with the PS3 by tapping the pairing button located next to the volume controls on the side until the LED flashes BOTH Blue and Red.

6. Once the Headset's LED indicator is alternately flashing Blue and Red (indicating the Headset is ready to be paired), press X on "Start Scanning."

7. Once Scan is complete, the PS3 will recognize all Bluetooth devices within range.

8. Locate "8860" from the list of available devices and press X on its icon to be prompted for a Pass Key

9. Enter 0000 (four zeros) as the Pass Key and press X on OK

10. You should then be taken to a new screen stating: "Register completed"

.

Troubleshooting

What does theblue light mean

the steady, blinking blue light means it is working. If the light blinks quickly, ususally 3 times, then it is either turning itself off or turning itself on. if you're getting a steady blink, try holding the button down long enough for it to flash rapidly 3 times in succession. after that, it should blink no more, because you have just turned it off. Want to turn it back on? hold the same button down until it flashes rapidly 3 times again, and you have just turned it back on.
