I have Jackson JPX-300 dishwasher.

Hi,
Yes, you will have to find the circuit breaker....to turn it off.
dishwashers are normally hooked up on a separate breaker so you need you can shut down the dishwasher without turning off anything else.
Then you will have to replace the main control board to fix the problem...

Or you can have a Pro come and diagnose exactly what they think that it is...

Hereis a tip that will help you with the online buying...

the fill valve is easy just take the coil off and there is a hole in it put a metel screwdriver in the hole and turn the unit on if it pulls the screwdriver like a mganet it works is more likely i bad diaphram now as for the draining it drains bu turning a valve dirverting the watter from the pump down the drain hose so you must have a hole or leak in the hose

New start button?

Hello Colette,
When a component sometimes works and sometimes doesn't work, it suggests the component itself is functioning correctly. Check for loose wire connections on the door switch, the start switch, and on the cycle-reset switch which is located on the cam-timer assy of the machine (if so equipped). Cam timer assy is behind the kick-plate, under the door.

Soap pump

There are 2 different models of the JPX300H. One has a digital timer assembly, while the other is a cam-timer. Regardless of type, the timing unit is located under the wash tub, which can be accessed by removing the front panel directly below the door. If it is a cam assy (which I think it is), locate the microswitch on the cam assembly for the pump which is running incorrectly and turn the cam so the arm of the switch rides along the outside edge of the cam when the pump should not be running.
If timer is the digital type, then contact Jackson Tech Support for troubleshooting assistance. Their service is free and you can find the phone number at www. jacksonmsc.com

Have a Jackson tempstar hh that has a problem where the rinse contactor will not shut off even though the thermostat to the booster heater is not calling. The contactor is not stuck.

Sounds like the valve itself is stuck open. Shut off the water to the dishmachine, remove the solenoid coil, get a pipe wrench or large crescent wrench and open the top of the rinse valve. Either get some muriatic acid or some strong lime away and clean the internal valve. Make sure to put the parts back in the correct way. The top of the valve has a piston and a spring. DO not lose either of them. The bottom of the valve has a diaphram and a valve seat. remove both of these clean them so that they move freely. Install all the parts exactly like you found them. Tighten down the valve, put the coil back on and turn on the water
