Need to know the resistance of the speakers you are wiring, are they 4 ohm or 8 ohm speakers? Is this for car or home audio? What resistance does the amp show it is capable of handling?

If sub is dual coil and amp is 2ch then connect the sub woofer one side on 1&2 terminal and 2nd side on 3&4 terminal of the Amp.

How you wire it depends on how hard you want drive your amp. If your woofer runs 4ohm per coil I would wile it in series (amp +to sub +1 sub -1to sub +2 amp - to sub -2) then run it for a week and see if it has enough power. the lower your Impedance (the resistance load on the amp) the harder your amp works and more THD (noise) is produced. (Dclass amps aren't know for being clean to begin with) configured like this your amp will see 8ohms and sound the clean east. if this turns out to be not enough power wire it in parallel and double the output. wire amp + to sub +1 and +2 then amp - to sub -1 and -2.

A word to the wise... start with your volume very low and work up slowly most speakers will puk up the voice coil before the amp starts to get warmed up. you would hate to have to buy a new sub.

Have fun

Yes you can if you run them each as 4ohms. Running them at 1ohms will most likely overload the amp.

turn down the gain and the preout in the head if it supports it. also turn down the frequencey to 80. also dont over shoot the speaker by turrning up the bass on the head unit and then turning up the volume.

Distortion of sound is commonly caused by a leaky electrolytic filter capacitor.
Your unit need to send to repair shop because it is quite technical diagnosing the faulty capacitor.
Also dry joints are going to consider because it will produced the same problem as what you encountered right now.
This is fixable anyway.
