I have a nikon laser

First of all, measure the new battery voltage, just to make sure it's charged.
Someone in a blog mentioned sometimes you can reset the unit by pressing the on and mode buttons simultaneously, for 30 seconds, so you might try that first.
Second thing to check is that the battery terminals, both on the new batteries, and the terminals inside the camera, are clean. Use a qtip and alcohol or a pencil eraser. Terminals and contacts oxidize over time, mainly due to humidity and condensation. Other than the battery contacts, you could be having a switch or any other electrical contact problem inside the unit. Which means, it will have to be disassembled to be fixed. These are precise, compact devices and I wouldn't recommend self repair. Other than lightly bumping it while holding the on switch, I wouldn't try anything beyond that.
You can take it to a local camera repair shop, or contact Nikon for an estimate- here's their site:

Good luck, and hope this helps.

I would recommend you give Nikon a call. You can reach them in the US at 1-800-645-6687. This may be covered under their current No Fault Policy, in which case it shouldn't cost more than $10 to get them repaired or replaced.

Hello, I got a Nikon 10x42

Hi, yes it does. Apart from approacing Nikon, you may be able to find an optical enthusiast locally who could check them out and who has the equipment to adjust the prisms. I was lucky to find someone who could do this in the Bournemouth area in uk but don't have his address now. I think I found him through a shop or local advertisement.

Won't pick up long distance.

Hello. Push the mode button and the power button simultaneously for 30 second. This will reset it. If it doesn't reset it the first time try a second time as it generally does work. J.

My web cam is not compatible

Hi. I share your frustration as I had the same situation with a very powerful and expensive bird spotting scope. I finally decided to get a new webcam which was compatible. For just a few dollars I ended my search and my frustration. J.

Point of impact shifting 3-4 inch groups at 100

Basic things to check:

Scope base screws - make sure they are tight. 30 in/lbs or so.
Scope rings - make sure they are tight and grip the scope securely. 15 - 20 in/lbs for steel rings.
Scope attachment screws - tighten securely.

Change in ammunition?
Change in rifle rest technique? you should be resting the stock on your rest, not the barrel.

started using a sling? this can change POI.

Is your bore clean? Use a copper remover after your normal cleaning process.

Check the barrel crown for damage.
Check the action mounting screws for proper torque.

Hope some of this helps!

Nikon Action 10x50 6.5degree-seeing double

The double image is caused by the most common killer-fault on almost all binoculars: the yoke assembly which the eyepieces is mounted on has either bent or broken.

The only fix is to replace the yoke assembly: unbending it is not accurate enough and usually breaks it, gluing is no good as the contact surfaces are far too small for the adhesive to carry the mechanical loads, and usually results in a yoke which still needs unbending...

It's not a cheap fix and is only worth doing on really expensive models: given that you can buy the same pair again for less than £60 in the USA and around £100 in the UK then it's a no-brainer as the new model will cost far less than the repairs.

Sorry to disappoint you, but some faults just cannot be economically repaired. I hope that my answer has still been of use to you and that you take a moment to rate my answer.

Ihave a nikon scope that I have sent back 3 times

Parallax error is something that could be different in 2 people. What might be ok to some, will be a nightmare to others. Most scopes are set to parallax at 100 yards, but if you set up your rifle where it wont move, vice, box, pads, peek through the scope to a target at 50 yards, move your head back and forth, up and down, do the crosshairs move with you? How about 25 yards, 100 yards? where it doesn't move is where it is set, and where you find the most accuracy in your scope. It is not hard to hold steady, once you get the hang of it, instead of moving your head to set the crosshairs, anchor your rifle to your cheek and shoulder and move your rifle to the target. There are volumes of material written about this stuff. . Hope this helps.
