Mine showed the same, found to be the mode button stuck in, removed button and used cotton bud with alcohol rub into the rubber seal, gave it a good clean and now as good as new. Hope this helps.

Range finder fell in a cooler

My tablet got wet. I put it away in my room and forgot it for 3-4 weeks. When I found it and tried it - voila! It worked perfectly. May be thats a solution.

Buschnell

If the jolt (vibration) doesn't work on your Bushnell V3, follow the instruction steps to change the unit of measure. (On the initial screen, hold down the "POWER/FIRE button, and it will cycle through your choices.) It flashes 3 times on each option. The first option is "Yards w/JOLT" even though the choice is abbreviated on the screen. Per the instructions, by releasing the POWER/FIRE button, you select your option. Wait until the 2nd flash on this choice to release the POWER/FIRE button, and the JOLT feature will be turned back on. (On mine, it didn't work by letting go on the first flash.)

My bushnell tour v2 range finder is stuck on 1888 yards divided by 18 equals 888metres what do I do to fix this

I have a Bushnell Tour V2 that has worked very well for over 8 years and it just started doing the same thing with the frozen screen and 1888 yards. Since I just replaced the battery that I bought at a Pro Shop about 6 months ago I thought the battery was fine. I looked at the battery and did not recognize the brand so I went out and bought a new Copper Top Duracell and BANG it is working again just like new.

When I look through the eyepiece the laser is no

If you are seeing the circle through the view finder when pressing top button ( so battery is OK ) but nothing happens when you press the button on top a second time to operate the laser it may be the same problem I experienced .... I noticed a slight rattling from inside my V2 when I shook it . As it was around 8 years old and a bit battered I striped it down , peel off top and bottom rubber bits then the front rubber cover , this exposes small screws which can be removed easily with the correct screwdriver , once all removed the plastic covers can be separated ...do it carefully and remember which way it all fits back ! It's not that technical but a bit fiddly , I noticed that a small mirror ( prism ) about 1cm long had fallen from its location and was rattling around , I relocated it and added a tiny amount of glue to its edge fixing it in place , I made sure the glass was clean with no fingerprints on it...reassembled and worked fine .... you will need some glue to refix rubber bits , good luck .

Intermitantly working v2 rangefinder

Had the same problem with my first Bushnell V2 (Slope). Worked intermittently and sometimes just quit altogether. Finally had to send it back to them. They sent it back and said nothing was wrong with it. I called them and told them they were wrong and I was sending it back and they should take more time in testing it. This time they acknowledged problem, said it was fixed and sent it back to me. I wound up getting a real good deal on the V2 without the slope calculator (necessary if you want to use it in championships). Used this one for some time with no problem, but now it just went dead again. Battery tests well into green area on meter, but I'm going to try a brand new one and see what happens. From all the things I've read about the V2 and battery life, it looks like you might need pretty fresh batteries to keep it going.

I have a Bushnell Tour

Hi I think the answer is simple, NO you have NOT received the right cap, you are indeed correct, in what you think & say.
I think you need to contact Bushnell, direct, via the Phone, and speak to someone in parts and explain what's happened, and explain what your cap is like, i am sure then they will sort it all out for you, and may even give you a refund for the one that will not fit correctly.
link below use the Contact link and find the Phone or if they have it Chat link, and contact them direct.

I lost my original battery

Hi mcallen173,

If you find that the screw settings are similar when compared to the previous cap then it is the same cap , however what you need to do is find out the right of the screws will fit the cap.

If the screw slots are not matching perfectly then it's not the cap that is required for your camera.

Many a times manufacturers assume that a particular cap of a different model will fit in some other model , which in actuality is not true , therefore you need to have the exact model of the cap.

You should notify this to the manufacturer and should get the new cap as it is , a good idea would be to send a snap of the are where you would fit the cap to them so that it makes them understand the right type of cap that is required.

Hope this helps ...:) Let me know in case you have any queries.

Error E31 on Bushnell V2

Can you check that the new battery is an alkaline battery? If it is, and you are still getting the E31 error code, you will need to return your rangefinder to Bushnell to have it reprogrammed.

E31 is a programming error code. Most of the time this comes from using non-alkaline batteries or from letting a battery die in the unit. Non-alkaline batteries just don't generate enough current for the laser to operate properly.

Good luck.

I already replaced the battery

You will have to refer to your manual for the error code, and if it doesn't have it, you will have to contact Bushnell support:
http://www.bushnell.com/products/gps/product-support/support-steps/
You should first try cleaning the battery contacts inside the unit. Use a qtip and alcohol, or a pencil eraser. If this doesn't help, contact Bushnell.
Good luck,and hope this helps.
