Make sure you run the Positive wire from battery on one side, which is normaly the drivers side. Then run the remote wire and the spearkers on the passininger side. Feedback comes from two places, Your radio or your amplifiers. If running to amps always run sepert positive wires with 25amp fuses on each. For the ground (8g) and power wires are always best at 4g or 8g wiring. The ground wire must go to a clean spot of metal that is ether the frame or chasey of the car. Plus use metal srew to mount the ground wire. If it is not giving you feedback then thats a good ground which is ok to mount 2 or 3 amps max. If you still hear feedback, it's time to look at the radio and make sure the ground wire is good.

Most of the generic electronic components are simply purchased by RS and packaged to sell in their stores. In the last few years, there have been more items 'custom manufactured for radio shack' that you won't see elsewhere. I don't believe Radio Shack manufactures them. The items are produced by manufacturers who are capable of supplying whatever is needed.

For a more definitive answer, you should contact Radio Shack.

There are lots of websites out there that specialise in radio unlock codes. Have you tried some of the Rover Owners Forums? They might be able to supply you with it. Most websites will charge a fee for the service but it usually isn't a big cost.

Your local dealership will provide the code for free, but you have to produce the Registration document showing the VIN Number, otherwise they may be helping you with a stolen radio.

There are sites that sell you the code based on the serial number. There are sites that SAY are FREE, but they aren't. Typical cost is around $18 USD
