That unit is surprisingly clean. It may have had the fan module that you can see in picture, replaced and whomever replaced it, did not put the lug back on or it was not there with the newer unit.

Clicking sound is overheat at the compressor. There is a device called a Clixon that is cutting and restarting. Remove covers and clean the condenser grill with a vacuum cleaner and brush.

these units are usually set up to have the beater rotate in a clockwise direction facing front. If they get stuck, it is usually due to excessive wear or the hexed end has been lubed and has created a suction seal in it's counter part. Try rotating the beater in a counter clockwise direction while holding the drive wheel pulley stationary. Be sure to unplug unit first. this has worked for me in the past but can be very difficult at times.

Too high of water pressure letting in more water then it can drain off. Try turning down the water first

either a t-stat issue or if it does not run for more than a few seconds, your compressor is done for.

Could anybody please tell me what the colored bottons for this freezer mean. I just got one second hand, plugged it in and there is a red light on. There is also a botton with an S and a circle with a line. I'm guessing that might be on botton but I don't know for sure. It hanks to anyone willing to help!! :)

Could you comment below with more detailed photos of the back of the orange switch and any other bits with it. If the switch isn't broken It might just 'click' back in. I don't know without better images.

Control board has gone bad....What happens is the defrost is controlled electronically from a circuit board, when this goes bad, the freezer quits defrosting, and freezes the fans that circulate air through the fridge side of things.To check this, unplug the entire fridge, leave the freezer open, wait for it to defrost a bit, if this causes the fridge to start cooling again when you plug it back in, then its the defrost. That alarm light means that the unit was too warm for a period of time. The door may not have closed properly. It is a warning to you that the food may have thawed out. It does not mean something is wrong. To reset it switch it off and on or unplug it for a minute.
