Make certain you have the unit plugged into external power, and the indicator light (LED) is ON
. It would be best if the LED shows "Green", indicating a full charge on the battery also.
Place a blunt-tipped object (larger paperclip or toothpick with sharp end cut off) into the hole at the reset location, which is on the bottom left part of the GPS
. Press down for 10-15 seconds on the reset button, then release. Now, press and hold the On/Off/Standby
for at least 6 seconds (try 10-15 seconds if needed) to power unit back on. If there is still no power-up, then your unit may be defective. Download the complete 110-page manual from here for more information:
