LETS SEE IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE AMPLIFIER ITSELF OR IF SOMETHING IN THE INSTALL REMOVE THE RCA INPUTS AND DISCONNECT THE SPEAKERS, THEN POWER THE AMPLIFIER UP WITH THIS NO INPUT, NO SPEAKER LOAD CONDITION. IF IT STILL GOES INTO PROTECTION OR FAILS TO POWER UP AND YOU HAVE VERIFIED THAT THE POSITIVE AND ESPECIALLY THE GROUND CONNECTIONS, ALONG WITH THE REMOTE CONNECTIONS ARE 100%, THEN THE AMPLIFIER WILL NEED TO BE SERVICED. SOMETIMES THE RADIO CAN HAVE A DEFECTIVE SAGGING BELOW 11 VOLTS REMOTE OUTPUT WHICH WILL CAUSE THE AMPLIFIER TO NOT POWER UP. IF YOU DISCONNECT THE RADIOS REMOTE LEAD AT THE AMPLIFIER AND TEMPORARILY INSTALL A JUMPER FROM THE POSITIVE POWER TERMINAL AND THE REMOTE TERMINAL OF THE AMPLIFIER, THIS WILL NORMALLY FORCE THE AMPLIFIER ON. AT THIS POINT,YOU HAVE TOTALLY BENCHED THE AMPLIFIER AS IT WILL NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE ACTUAL INSTALLATION AND IF STILL FAULTY IT SIMPLY WILL HAVE TO BE SERVICED. u use the first live out put and the last out put wich should b a negative whick will make the amp run all its power into the sub

If the amp is bridgeable then u should see lettering where the speaker outputs or the channels are and you will a symbol saying bridged and then u can see a + and - symbol with lines going to the other channels. In other words they call it bridged because you are jumping from one speaker output to the other, usually bridging an amp consists of Left - to Right + or vice versa.

i have had the exact same problem with the exact same lagacy amp that you have posted, put your ground in a different spot or try double grounds in two different spots this should solve your problem here. good luck

First thing to look for would be pinched speaker wires,or a bad ground, or a loose b+ wire. The next would be to have the amp bench tested and the tech should bang and tap on the unit to see if there are bad or cold solder connections inside on the printed circuit board assy.

1.) Look for an option DVD menu to turn this safety feature off for ... Go to Setup menu and perform Position

2.) Try checking the connection from your car battery to the audio device...

First thing to do is check to make sure that the batteries are properly charged.

Second, make sure that you have a clear line-of-site to the IR transmitter. Infrared (IR) works the same way that your TVs remote control works - if the signal is blocked, then you will not hear any sound.

Third, make sure that you are in the rear seat of the vehicle when listening to the sound. The IR transmitter only transmits to the rear seat, so you will not hear any sound if you are sitting in the front seats. This is a common problem that i see.
