This is common on all dryers. Not lint screen will catch all the lint although some are better than others. If you haven't already, you will need to clean or have your home vent cleaned (with a brush that goes all the way through the vent). If vent is not cleaned the lint will back up all the way into your dryer and cause a mess. You have stated your vent goes up to your roof so you will need to clean it every 6mths to 1yr. Aside from this there is no fix that I am aware of. Please rate me after reading this.

normally if u unplug it for a couple minutes then plug back in , may reset . also try putting it on the on position then open and close the lid slightly 6 times withing 12 seconds, it may reset it

It ended up being a easy fix. Our old dryer was working fine and had been ran an hour before I hooked up the new Samsung dryer. Therefore I assumed when the new dryer did not work there had to be something wrong with it. There ended up being nothing wrong with it and it was my dryer vent. It was barley plugged which caused it to not heat up properly. I was told that the new dryers have a lot more sensors on them and its very sensitive about needing a clean vent to vent out the heat. My vent was not very dirty, but it had just enough build up of lent in it, it caused the dryer to not vent properly and it would keep shutting the flame off. Blew it out with my leaf blower and now it heats up and dry quick. I hope this helps

Did you give it plenty of time to cool down before you moved it? If not, you heating element could have opened - if everything else seems to work except heat, but you should also check the thermal switch.

have you tried disconnecting the vent tube and drying a load of clothes, as the vent maybe restricted. Hope this helps Tim if not post again

it sounds like a clogged vent, go outside and see/feel if air is blowing strong out the vent

This is an issue with the thermostat. It will need to be replaced .
