Inspect the Antenna:

• Ensure the antenna is properly connected and not damaged. The antenna is usually mounted on the windshield and is critical for the remote start system to receive signals from the remote.
• Valet Mode: Ensure the system is not in valet mode. Valet mode disables the remote start feature. Typically, you can turn off valet mode by pressing and holding the lock and trunk buttons together for a few seconds or following specific instructions in the manual.

someone cut the ign 1 and or 2 wires. you need to do a bit more trouble shooting. find the install manual and go back over all the steps. kind of sounds like someone may have lost the keys at one time and just used the remote. or they set it up for a security thing so no one would steal it. they never figured someone would bust the ign lock and use a screwdriver. but hey get the manual and go back over the install. you will find it.

Mine does that too (chirps 8 times), every 4 to 8 hours or so (seems to be random but persistent). The alarm was installed November 2014 and I just started noticing it in May 2015, possibly because I am now within earshot of where my car is parked?

Sounds like they hooked it up as voltage sensing and not tach sending. I'd get them to hook it up to a tach source, as your charging system might be too weak in the cold to give the system a voltage it is looking for.

Set lock/unlock button

· open drivers door

· turn key to ON position

· press valet switch 1 time

· press valet switch again and hold

· when alarm chirps press lock/unlock on remote

· release valet switch

· turn key off

You will need to speak with a Viper service and sales person

If its only been a few months your system should still be under warranty, try contacting the installer and see if there is an adjustment needed (the sensor for the hood being up sometimes gets bent and the car thinks its up) so will not start. Also these tend to go bad every now and again. My mom had a similar problem and the brain was replace (she had the extended warranty)
