if you are having problems with your sound if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers make sure you have selected the (((appropriate speakers))) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there also click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar if his does not fix the problem

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer hope this helps

I don't know how to install my logictech Z523

Your "line in" from speakers should be plugged into the green (output) port on the back of your tower or the headphone jack on laptop. You will need to hook the 9 pin connector from the right speaker to the subwoofer. The yellow line from left speaker plugs into port labled "subwoofer" on subwoofer. Plug your power cord from speaker system into an outlet. Turn them on, adjust volume. There is no software for this product.

When I plug the headset

You have to make sure it is not muted. Some logitech headsets have a mute button for the mic on the cord e.g. the logitech comfort usb blinks when it is muted. Make sure it is not muted in windows also. Go to your sound
> click recording devices
> click the logitech one
> set default
> click properties
> levels (make sure the michophone is not muted and 100).

Also make sure it is the set microphone in the program you are using and not muted.

Good luck.

Microphone stuck on mute, no

Either the microphone has died, or the settings in your operating system have the volume turned down, or muted.

I'm trying to wire my logitech x540 to my toshiba

my regza decodes an hdmi signal and allows it to be sent out the output on the rear of the set to an auxilary audio source the output is clearly marked and this method should work for you if it requires a 3.5mm jack to input the speaker(headphone style)then simply aquire an adapter to turn it from 3.5-to-red-white a very simple and cheap adapter this would be the easiest route to use a system of your description on your set and fill all the inputs on the tv and have the logitechs for sound if indeed you tv will not decode all audio such as hdmi inputs out of the red and white audio out on the tv as most wont post a reply back and ill try and walk you through another simple method ok:)

Speakers plugged in and connected

I assume you have plugged it into the green port?? If so is there should be a speaker icon showing to the lower right of the screen in the task bar?? If not you need to got to control panel / sounds and see if the driver is installed. If so (The driver is in dark print not faded out) Try the speakers on friends laptop / PC to eliminate speaker prob.
