Try plugging in some headphones to the right satellite, unplugging them and turning the speakers off and on. This worked for me, and is probably the switch getting stuck between headphones & normal speakers.

Usually something like this is simply the wire at the headseat becoming broken by twisting and stress. If you gently twist and push right where the wire enters the ear cup. It will work and then stop as the wire make a connection. Unless you can solder you will end up replacing the set. Make sure to try it out on a different pc or mp3 player etc just to make sure it is the headset.

First and foremost, did you test those speakers at the store before you bought them? There must be an ON/OFF switch somwhere on those speakers. Or maybe, the AC cable is defective or loose. Try unhooking it from your speakers then hook it back. Or did you forget to plug it in the wall electrical outlet?
