Check the line that feeds water to the ice maker. With it being off the line may be clogged

The drawers will pull out the front, then you can unclip the drawer fronts, they are just held together by plastic tabs. GE Refrigerator Drawer WR32X10338

There are three ways.
1. Shut water off to the fridge via plumbing valve.
2. Lift arm on ice maker or use on/off switch depending on ice maker model.
3. Unplug ice maker wiring harness. It won't be able to call for water.

Hi, The unit has to cycle or it will freeze up, so to control the temperature this unit must cycle on and off. This is normal for all refrigeration units. Could be the t stat not shutting the unit off..so it runs all the time untill it freezes the evaporator in the the freezer then it runs and runs and gets hot...or if it has had a compressor replace before..the freon level what not put back in thr right way..meaning its overcharged, or undercharged..this will also do this...The coils are dirty under the unit...

TRY PULLING OUT THE "ICE AUGER" AND RESETTING THE ICE MAKING UNIT ITSELF,MOTOR SHOULD RESTART AND FREEZE...UNLESS YOU RARELY USE IT,IN THAT CASE YOU MAY HAVE MOTOR ISSUE?? STAY IN TOUCH,LET ME KNOW

you really need to know what your doing = too much to tell on here . system is loosing gas and therefore ,leak = will happen again .

PULL OUT AND MAKE SURE THE ROD/MIXER IS IN THE MOTOR HOUSING,IF ITS SLIPPED OUT YOUR ICE WONT ADVANCE FORWARD...

pop the control panel off by taking a thin blade knife at the bottom of this panel and prying out on the two edged of it,then unplug the wire harnesses to it,then remove 4 phillips screws behind it remove the paddle assembly,dont lose the little spring on the paddle

It really depends where the sound is coming from. You will get a knocking sound when the fridge makes ice, and a knocking should when the compresser starts land stops, or your fan in the freezer may be hitting some ice build up in theevaperator
