How do you set the time on a log radio
you have to turn it all the way through to the correct time even if it is 23 hours and 55 minutes around. if you go a few minutes too far unplug the clock till time catches up then plug it in again

Most likely the clock radio is damaged beyond repair. If it can be repaired it may cost nearly a much as a new clock radio.

SEt the time for DST but it always reverts back to
this is because the US changed the dates for DST, you either have to get new firmware (not really an option) or just wait until the time change to occur in your device based on last years date of time change (this whole DST ) is just stupid in my less than humble opinion.
Sony clock radio with auto
This is easily fixed. Set the time manually the 1st time. Make sure you use the CORRECT time, which is four minutes less than what the clock said when you first plugged it in. Once you reset the timing, it will remember the four minute difference and always show the correct time.

Have you tried to manually reset the time? I had the same problem. It got the the point where it was almost 20 minutes fast - I finally looked up the manual on-line and found instructions to manually reset it. It seemed to work just fine. I'm not sure if I have the same model as you do, but I'm sure the procedure is similar. I suggest you search the net for your manual.
I need the colon in the time display of the Sony
Sometimes the colon is the 'seconds' count - did it always do this? Try to unplug for 1 minute and then reset the time - if it still flashes I suspect that it was a built in feature - some do this...
The CD player on my Sony Dream Machine FM/AM CD
The laser has gone weak. If you feel confident taking it apart, unplug it and look for a small potentiometer on the CD reading pickup. Turn it to the right to about 700 ohms, it should start reading again. If you don't have a multimeter to measure it then get one, a basic $10 meter will do fine.
