Hi,
The cycling or operating thermostatis often the problem when a dryer runstoo hot, but there are also other things that can make it run hot also.

Here is a tip that I wrote that gives more details about why a clothes dryer will get too hot.

If the flame is shutting of before it reaches the operating temperatures the likely failure is a restricted venting system. There is a high limit thermostat that will cause the flame to shut off if there is a lack of airflow due to a restriction in the vent system. Remove the lint filter screen and clean in with soap and water. The filter may appear clean but it could have a clear film of fabric softener residue covering it causing a restriction in the air flow too. After cleaning the filter reinstall it before running the next test.

For testing purposes only, disconnect the dryer vent hose from the back of the dryer and put a normal load of clothes in the dryer and start the dryer. If the clothes dry in the normal amount of time that would confirm a restriction in the vent hose or the venting system. NOTE: Do not leave the vent hose disconnected after running the test. Reconnect the vent hose.

You will likely find the clothes drying in the normal amount of time indicating a restriction in the venting.

Press and hold the End of Cycle Signal button for 3 seconds or until the Control Lock indicator turns off to unlock the control. This button actually has the marking below it that says " Hold for 3 Seconds to Lock/Unlock Control". You have to check the control for any stuck button and unstuck it if the control still cannot be unlocked with the End of Cycle Signal button and unplugging the dryer for at least 15 minutes. Let us know if the problem persists.

If you have washed some NEW blue denims, some of the dye will get on everything. Blue denims are often a pain, and if you wear them before washing them they will get that same blue dye all over you.
It didn't hurt your washer, just run a couple loads through and add a little bleach to the whites. Note that if you put bleach in with OTHER colors, they will fade.
The trick is, never wash ANYTHING with blue denims, especially when they're new.

Try holding down the CONTROL LOCK button down for about 3 seconds.

See if that works.

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have not taken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then you need to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should take place. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causes for your dryer to fail.

take a boyyle of simple green solution, and get a clean rag, and this should take the stain off, after youwipe it down with this if it is coming off, wipe it down after with water, then dry it off with a clean rag, let me know if this gets it, it should thks larry

Now did this happen all at once or did it slowly dry clothes slower and slower and then just quit? If it happened slowlt it is because you have some sort of ventalation blockage withing the dryer itself or in the wall of your home. When this happens it will the blow the thermal cut off and this will need to be replaced. If it happened over night then it could be the heating element or the thermal cut off & thermostat. All these can be checked with a volt meter using the setting for continuity.

if your heating element is good then you need to check the thermal fuses in the cabinet if one of those is bad then it needs to be replaced.all thermal fuse should have continuity as well as the element if one of them does not have any continuity then replace it

The flame should cycle on and off in response to the thermostat. If it is going out and not coming back on several minutes later then the exhaust vent may be clogged. Check the lint filter and exhaust vent all the way to the vent outlet to make sure they are not clogged.

your belt might have snapped or came off

Turn off the breaker and check the heating element.

There is a rare chance that the gas supply is clogged. Dealing with gas pipes is dangerous business, don't fool with it unless you are experienced with plumbing. After checking a gas pipe, do a bubble check for leaks with dish soap from a sponge or sprayer. There are small filters and traps placed here and there in the plumbing of some units. They are similar to the ones on a washing machine hose, but smaller.

My wife did the same thing,trying to do all the laundry at one time.Even if it says high load compasity it will only handle so much.sounds like you killed your motor.Hope this helped.
