That's the thing with today's electronic and why warranty length is so important. Where did you buy your keyboard? It's strange that they won't fix it if it's still under warranty. My
Casio CTK-2100 came with 1 year free service and they fix one key that stopped function in few days. I'm pretty sure Yamaha has the same warranty length.
You sometimes have to be very persistent with them though...

Hi jjpallain,
If the Adapter (Power Pack)is new, it lacks sufficient amperage and may cause your problem, especially in loud passages of music. If original, and is somewhat hot to touch, it may need to be replaced by a new one with the same original specs (Input & Output).
Hope this helps.
Thank you for using FixYa.

Hello,
The battery needs to be charged before it will work in your keyboard. Maybe, the battery is out of charge that's why your keyboard is not working.
You need the wire to turn on the keyboard and at the same time to charge the battery. If the battery is already full, you can remove the wire and the keyboard will still work until the power in the battery is drained out.
I hope this helps.

What you are requesting will not work as you expect. The easiest way to achieve what you seek is to utilize what is called a Direct Box. This is essentially an external transformer that isolates the keyboard from any attached equipment (to eliminate grounding hum) and will allow you to conenct an XLR (low impedance) cable to the keyboard. I assume that you wish to attach the keyboard to some type of sound system which is likely to have standard XLR Mic inputs.
Update this with any additional questions that you have. Please note that using the direct box (about $20-$40) will be both the easiest solution as well as prevent the need to modify the keyboard.
