If the receiver does not have a dedicated socket for playing back records, you will probably need a magnetic cartridge pre-amp. You can then connect via any left and right audio imput. If you do it without a pre-amp the sound will be there, but too low to listen too.

Is the outlet you are using getting power? Is it a gfi? Check the breakers to see if they have tripped. Some of those home theaters have serious wattage and can trip breakers. if all of that fails, then the system is no good. Sorry.

Get a optical audio converter box and connect the digital audio optical out to the converter box connect the red white RCA connectors to the headset base unit and off you go
